It was overall a good transaction. The only complaint I have is how long the process takes once a decision has been made to purchase a used car. I do have to say, I like that a customer can roam the lot without a salesperson tagging along once a decision has been made to purchase a used car. Your dealership charged me 5 points higher trying to finance a vehicle after I was told I was given the best deal available. Then when I called to cancel the deal because I didn't take delivery of the c finance a vehicle after I was told I was given the best deal available. I went to Ricart Automotive looking for a new or used vehicle. When I arrived, I found the sales staff to be friendly, courteous, and respectful of my disdain for high pressure sales tactics. The sales team went to great lengths to accommodate my needs and preferences. Ultimately- and for the first time in which I have dealt with a car dealership- I emerged quite satisfied with the experience. The survey above does not have an item that assesses how I would rate my past car buying experiences, or how I would compare the recent experience to prior experiences. I had a wonderful experience at Ricart. The staff was friendly, the financing was easy and the overall experience was great. Some things took longer than we expected. The most recent bad experience was that I found two vehicles online that I really liked so I went to the dealership and drove both decided I liked one better. Both were listed as the same price but Jo vehicles online that I really liked so I went to the dealership and drove both decided I liked one better. Both were listed as the same price but John told me that one vehicle had more wiggle room on the price than the other so I chose the one that they would work on the price. We sat down to do the "wheeling and dealing" and he gave me a price that still was too high for the value of the car. I researched the cars very well before going down there so I had a little more knowledge than he thought I did. What really ticked me off is that I gave a VERY fair offer for the car and he told me that his manager wouldn't accept it. He never even asked his manager about the offer. It isn't his place to accept or deny my offer, its the managers job. I got up and walked out and I will NEVER set foot in that dealership again and I make sure to everybody not to go there. A few years ago I had bought a brand new car, right off the show room floor from them and paid $20,000 for it. One would assume that when you spend that much you might get a little courtesy from the service department. Not at Ricart. I had a problem with the power locks and alarm so I took it to service and the guy called me the next day so I went to pick up my car. He told me that they couldn't recreate the problem and then he said that maybe I was too stupid to figure out power locks. I reported him to Nissan Corp (my car was a Nissan) and I never saw him in the service department again. More
