We received a pre-qualified for $17,000 from Ricart Used Car Factory. We then looked on their website for convertibles under the $17,000 price. We then drove to the Used Car factory to see what the cars looked like, We could not find the Mustang and the Toyota Solara was already sold according to Rick. Both cars were listed on the website for days after we selected an alternative car, a 2007 VW Bug convertible. We enjoy the VW convertible since we have driven it. The main problem noted is the website and inventory need to sync better. We had a trade-in vehicle, a 2003 Chrysler Town and country Limited mini-van and received about 1700 less than what KBB listed. KBB had suggested for Fair with 157067 miles a price of $2,766, for Good a price of $3,591. They gave only $1000 for trade-in allowance. I was stunned and almost walked out when the low value was known. We did have some issues with the trade-in payoff but the issues were eventually corrected. Some better co-ordination of issues needs to be initiated. A problem did arise with our key set. The electronics in one of the keysets gave out. We had to go to service to see if we could get a claim to get the key replaced. We were helped greatly by the service department. She was a great help to complete the form and approval. Overall I feel that I had to do more in order to get the deal straight than I expected. I am satisfied now since items were finally settled to our satisfaction. So be careful when you trade-in your older vehicle, The value they give may be below KBB by more that 50%. Sales seemed to give me the feeling that once the lender finances the deal that you are on your own. However on a follow-up visit for an issue, the dealer was helpful. More
