John did an excellent job. He was patient with our questions and decision making. I believe he was honest. He did not make us feel pressured at any point to make a deal which was important to us. While Ricart wasn't our first stop, it was our last. We were out looking for a reliable car for my daughter to drive back and forth to College. We had a strict budget and a request for low mileage. I wil were out looking for a reliable car for my daughter to drive back and forth to College. We had a strict budget and a request for low mileage. I will say that I hate car shopping more than I hate going to the dentist. While getting a new car is awesome, the experience is usually horrible. John met us on the lot when we arrived. He was very courteous, personable and listened to what we wanted without trying to sale us what we didn't want. He showed us several cars that were in the price range we were looking for and didn't give up because we weren't after the expensive cars. He was there for the whole process. We had been to other dealers that weekend, that when we told them what we were looking for, they would show us, but then disappear to go help someone else, like our purchase wasn't important enough for them to stick around. During the "waiting" process, we had to leave early, my daughter had to go to work. John worked quickly to get everything he needed to get us out the door in time. The only bad part about the experience at Ricart was we were told we could come back later that evening and pick up the car and sign our part of the paperwork, and return the next day to have my daughter sign. When we got there the 2nd time, we were told we couldn't pick up the car, and would still have to return the following day to have my daughter sign. We live in Pataskala, so that extra drive was kind of a waste of time and gas. A phone call would have been nice to let us know. But, I'm not holding that against John or Ricart, the experience was still great. I also want to commend John for being so nice and friendly. It didn't seem fake, it seemed like he genuinely cared. I also want to thank him for his awesome advise on the maneuverability course. My daughter will now have a better chance at passing her driving test this weekend. Honestly, without that, she would probably have failed again for the 4th time. Thanks, John! I will definitely make Ricart my first stop in the future. Melissa Krieger More
I purchased a used chevy truck from the dealer recently, my salesman John Thorton was excellent I couldn't of asked for more more than did his job and for that I am appreciative. I was a little upset that a price could not of been negotiated as I feel the price could of been lowered some. I was not happy either that my salesman's boss would not come out on to the floor to talk to us it made me feel as though something was being hidden from me as a buyer. Another issue that I have was that the dealership was not willing to hold the vehicle for me over the weekend even though I wanted to put money down on it. It's a act of good faith and upset me am I not a trustworthy person and who are they to decide that? I do understand its company policy, but some policy can be changed especially if it would bring buisness. Upon buying the truck I immediately had to replace the battery, the dealer is willing to pay back the cost of the battery and thats good I am happy about that maybe in the future a more complete check can be accomplished. Adding to the previous sentence I discovered a broken wheel stud again that should be checked. Overall I would recondmend the dealer solely based on my expierence with Mr. Thorton he went above and beyond answering any questions I had and for that I thank him. More
