Steve was highly knowledgeable about Fords, their quality and performance. He spent a lot of time explaining all the features of the Platinum F150 that we were considering. We had worked with a new salesman and even though Steve was not going to receive any commission, he felt the need to cover the details the new guy (who was very nice) may not have learned yet, and in doing so, he not only informed us but he taught the new salesman at the same time. We were quite impressed. We left that Saturday night with two vehicles: a 2010 Platinum F150 and a 2010 Toyota Venza. The salesman and supervisor worked very hard on the numbers to make the deal the best it could be. We left there very satisfied; or so we thought. I had only tested the Venza on the test track and it was good. However, on the way home that night I realized that I really didn't like the choice I'd made at all. Knowing that we had to go back to the dealership Sunday afternoon, we took both vehicles and went in to discuss our options. And, thankfully, Steve was there! He recognized us right away, asked what he could do for us and listened while we explained our dilemma. He informed us that there are no recision rights regarding used vehicle sales but that he would do his best to find a vehicle that I would be happy driving, while confident regarding it's quality and performance. Right away we went out onto the lot and chose a 2010 Ford Edge that I had admired the day before. He began explaining all of the features and then we took it out for a test drive. We were sold on its performance. When we returned to the shop he immediately set things in motion to get new paperwork filled out so that we could be on our way! Not only did we leave highly satisfied but we were very confident that we had now made the right choices on these two Ford vehicles and we owe it all to Steve! Absolutely, hands down the WORST experience I have ever had buying a used car or anything for that matter. The inventory was fairly priced and there was a selection. I would have purchased, but the sales associate John Vargo was the most rude salesman I have ever had! I was a cash paying customer with a possible trade and because I wasn't interested in the only Ford Edge I test drove in my entire life and didn't buy it that day he completely got an attitude. The Edge I liked, but was $4000 over my budget and he attempted to push me into financing and I made it very clear that I did not want to finance because I didn't need to and that I would rather look at the other Edges on their lot in my price range. He crumpled up a finance paper and told me that I wasted his time and he wouldn't have let me drive any vehicle if he'd had known that I wasn't buying that day! WTF, what salesman does that?? I wasn't aware that I had to buy his choice, on his chosen day, his preferred financing way! That was on Sat. 09/08/2012 and I'm glad to say that on Tue. 09/11/2012 I purchased my vehicle from Jeff Schmitt Auto Group, got to keep the car I was possibly going to trade and couldn't be more pleased. This was my first car-buying experience and out of the 3 or 4 dealers that I visited throughout the process, Ricart was by far the best experience. I appreciated the time given to explore the cars, the opportunity to look at multiple cars in my areas of interest, and the ability to test drive the car multiple times in order to ensure that I was picking the right car for me.
