We have purchased vehicles in the past, but were looking for our first carseat/kid friendly vehicle with a little one due the end of this summer. Ray was quick to reply to my initial online inquiry. We took time to sort out what we thought were our top vehicles before visiting the lot. We quickly realized, they were not our top picks any more...they just were not everything we had hoped for. So what initially was going to be a 2 hr appointment with Ray turned into a 4 hour appointment (our fault entirely). Despite our indecisiveness, Ray could not have been more accommodating to help us find exactly what we were looking for! We walked away with a 2013 Ford Edge and smiles on our faces. I do not want to "trash talk" any other dealers at Ricart, but I will just say we were there for over 4-5 hours total from start to finishing signing paperwork and we definitely felt very lucky to have been working with Ray that day! He was attentive, professional, knowledgeable, very friendly, and humorous. He had the natural ability to be a salesman without trying to sell you something. He knew when to joke around and knew when to be no nonsense. When we were very strict on certain issues and prices, Ray honored that during negotiations and helped us make sure we got the best deal we could at that time. Of course, you always want more when you sit down at that desk, , but I feel we got what we needed and Ray was a big part of that. We could not be happier with our new purchase and would happily refer friends, family, and coworkers to Ray Pasco at the Ricart Used Car Factory! More

Good car, terrible experience This was the first vehicle I've ever bought from Ricart. It will almost certainly be my last. I'm entirely satisfied with the car my wife and I purcha This was the first vehicle I've ever bought from Ricart. It will almost certainly be my last. I'm entirely satisfied with the car my wife and I purchased and what we paid for it. The experience was miserable. We started with one salesman, Stephon, towards the end of business on Saturday, who showed us one of the vehicles we'd researched online. We took a test drive, and returned to the office to discuss some details. Luckily, we had done some independent research, because he didn't offer us very many details about the vehicle, but we knew enough to be interested. After talking over some details, we decided to sleep on it and asked if he'd be in the next day. He told us he'd be "in and out" of the office, but agreed to meet us at 2:00 the next day. Arriving a little before 2:00 the next day, after having found another vehicle online to look at, our salesman hadn't showed up yet. We were greeted by Thomas, who first tried calling Stephon, then apparently ran into him while retrieving the new vehicle we'd discovered (ultimately the one we chose). Stephon didn't even bother to check in with us and at least acknowledge that he'd missed the appointment; very unprofessional. Thomas also didn't provide much information about the vehicle, sending us out on a test drive unaccompanied. The key for the push button ignition had a low battery, which we told him about after we returned. We mentioned the possibility of outside financing, since I work for a local credit union, but left it open-ended as to which direction I would go. I believed the asking price was fair, so I wasn't going to haggle too much, but found Thomas unwilling to budge on the price on the unconvincing basis that the deal was so good already. After asking to at least match Carmax's offer for our trade-in (a difference of a mere $500) to save us a trip across town, he proved unwilling to negotiate there, either, so we wound up selling to Carmax (who were awesome, for what it's worth). Feeling a bit dictated to, but still feeling we were getting a decent deal, I decided to ask for a purchase order to take to the credit union. He asked if we'd like to do some kind of temporary financing until we got everything in order, saying that they'd be unable to hold the vehicle even with a down payment. We told him we'd chance it and just to give us a purchase order. He then said he would make the purchase order for a "cash purchase" (which would seem to indicate they couldn't sell the vehicle afterwards), and set us up with a finance employee, who asked us how we wanted the vehicle titled. We told him to title it to both of us. Remember that detail for later. After going through the ENTIRE set of purchase documents (including temporary registration which, again, would seem to indicate that the vehicle wasn't for sale any longer), we finally got our purchase order. After dealing with the financing the next day, we brought the check in to Thomas, who gave us the KEY. SINGULAR. Only when we asked at this point did he tell us that there was only one key for this vehicle. Again, this vehicle is a keyless push button ignition, which makes these keys EXPENSIVE. When we asked, he said that only about 60% of the time do used vehicles have both keys. I don't believe this for a MINUTE. He checked to see if somebody who "had the file" had the elusive second key, but came back empty-handed. He also said they were unable to provide us with a second key, again citing the fact that the deal was supposedly so good, but that they might be able to get us one "at cost". How many times have you EVER gotten one key from a DEALER? We took our single key, and he told us he'd make a follow up call to us after he discussed the matter with whoever the keeper of the suddenly crucial "folder" was. I'm still waiting for this call 3 weeks later. After driving off with the vehicle, we noticed that he had given us the vehicle with less than half a tank of gas (every other time I've bought a car, they've topped the tank off, and Ricart HAS A FUEL STATION ON THE PREMISES), and the single key we were provided STILL had a low battery. Evidently the deal we got was so good, they couldn't even afford to give us normal car-buying courtesies. You know, little, insignificant, non-essential things like keys and gas. Speaking of gas, we discovered later that it's an E85 vehicle, which neither of us was familiar with, and had to figure out at the pump if there was a particular fuel we needed to use, which we would have already known had our salesmen volunteered any information at all about the car. To top it all off, we finally got the memo title yesterday. Despite specifically telling them to title it both of us (and filling out the POA paperwork accordingly), the title is only in my name. I'm not even sure if it's worth the time to try and correct. I've never felt before like I'm both getting a good deal and being patronized about it. I expect a LOT more from people who are supposedly providing me with a service. We went with Ricart because they had the best price for the vehicle we were looking for, and ultimately that's the only thing I can recommend them for. The cost of that good price seems to be lousy service experience and obtuse, immovable salesmen who make you feel like THEY are doing YOU a solid just by HAVING a car for you to buy. I'd advise you to only go to Ricart if you're willing to deal with all the crap that comes with them. More

I already knew the car I wanted and walked in knowing the price. Ricart had it priced fairly so there was no need to haggle. I also know I will not be making a profit on my trade-in so no haggling there. I really want to commend my Salesman. Great personality, very professional and never made a single mis-leading statement. I was actually surprised that the transaction happened just like it should. I did my part, Steve did his part - deal done. PS - Steve should be training car salesmen. More
