He told us about the safety features, showed us the engine and how to check all the fluid levels (which we already knew, but was appreciative that he knew that was an important thing to share instead of just bull shooting about the exterior and interior physical features of the car), and had us go on the highway for a test drive to really get it moving and get a feeling for the car at higher speeds. Even though Chase was great, I had the opposite experience with the finance department. Beware! I was given a crazy interest rate, which the bank later corrected (lowered by almost 2%), he was trying to sell my mom and I a warranty without telling us the price, etc. My overall experience was good, but the financing has been a nightmare. First Car Shopping Experience: Welcome to the 21st Century When I first entered the dealership in my 97 Toyota Corolla, I had never been through the car shopping experience. I had learned to drive on the Corol When I first entered the dealership in my 97 Toyota Corolla, I had never been through the car shopping experience. I had learned to drive on the Corolla, and I was not thrilled about taking on a car payment after so long without one. Entering the dealership, I met Roy who discussed my wants inventory. I knew going in price range and mileage, which online lead me to 3 possible styles to test drive. Through talking with Roy, I was able to narrow down more of my wants. Afterwards, he showed me the 3 cars and added a few more within my price range. Of those cars, I test drove 3 cars on the track. I walked out that day torn between two cars, but Roy did not pressure me at all. The next day, we returned and drove both cars on a road test. From there, I knew it was the 2014 Kia Soul. Throughout the whole experience, Roy was so positive, patient, and professional. I was excited about the bells and whistles (I am now a hands-free driver with my built in call connection), but my husband loved the Motor Trend warranty that came with the car: all wiring, fuses, brakes, tires, etc. were replaced in this car before it became for sale through Ricart. We still kept the 97 Toyota Corolla thinking we would use it on the weekends to keep the mileage down on the Kia, but after driving the Kia for a few weeks, it is hard to go back! More
