A 2015 VW was listed on Carfax and I live very close to Renaldo Honda. I drove over the next day to find it sitting out back with an orange sticker on the windshield stating “federal law prevents this car Renaldo Honda. I drove over the next day to find it sitting out back with an orange sticker on the windshield stating “federal law prevents this car from being sold until…” so I called in to dealership to inquire. I was connected to Felicia who knew nothing about a VW on the lot. She put me on hold for a few minutes and then told me the car is not sellable yet because it just came in that day and needed to be serviced. She promised to call me back asap after service checked it out later that day or the next. The very next morning while I’m at work I got a text from Felicia saying the VW checked out and is ready for me to come buy it and she wanted to know when I would be there. i replied “what about service inspection?” A little while later she texted me again asking me to sign up for notifications about the car but no service inspection information. I called when I got off work and spoke with her because of no response. She then told me “oh, detail has had the car all this time and service hasn’t looked at it yet. I’ll expedite that and get back with you very soon.” I never heard from her again however I then received emails and texts from a different Renaldo salesperson offering to “help find me a car that suits my personal needs” and never mentioned the VW. That was about 2 weeks ago. I saw the car was still listed today but now at their neighboring dealership Renaldo Kia so I drove through. No VW there or next door at Renaldo Honda. I finally got to speak with the GM who told me he’d check and get right back. He did and stated the car needs a new engine and it’s not on the lot! Wow! But surprisingly it’s still listed. Very frustrating and disappointing experience, Renaldo dealership!! I do appreciate the GM following up promptly as promised but the overall experience was confusing and frustrating. More
