Mr. Griffin, I apologize that your visit was less than expected. It is true that the Trax was online at $15988 but also true that the price was caused by a glitch in our automated system. Last month the price was $15988 and when the rebates changed on November 1 the price was raised by the amount of the difference. On 11/16 our system was updated by the provider and several vehicles were reset to last month’s pricing by error. When you called into our Internet department they only know what they see on the screen and when Tessa contacted the New Truck Department it was to verify that the vehicle was still here and not what the price on the vehicle was. Once you arrived we realized what had happened and immediately informed you. We then spent the next several days rechecking all of our inventory for this type of error and finished updating the mistakes by the 22nd. Our corrected price is still the cheapest one in the area with the exception of one listing that includes $4500 in rebates that are not compatible and not open to all customers. We do the best we can with the ever changing incentives offered by the manufacturer and the extreme size of our Inventory but at the end of the day we are human and make mistakes. Thank you Reliable Chevrolet for your response; however, you are not stating the facts of what happened. You said that the internet sales person only calls to confirm that the vehicle is still instock, but that's not what her email stated. She said that she had spoken with "her manager" and was told that the "price" was the lowest she could go since it was "already over $7000 off MSRP." So you're seeming to say that the manager was unaware of the price change...that's hard to understand. Clearly, I was told the price was valid and is was NOT. I was mislead...pure and simple.
