But they would have tried to sell it without) -They delivered the car to me at no charge, but their driver took all the toll roads and left me to foot the bill. That’s fine, but just kind of a slap in the face. -If you shop here, know ALL of the specs about the car model you’re looking at so you aren’t shortchanged. That goes for any dealership though, honestly. More
Worst car buying experience ever. Even worse service when I had to take the vehicle back. This service department does not communicate and does not know their vehicles. They used 40 Even worse service when I had to take the vehicle back. This service department does not communicate and does not know their vehicles. They used 40 miles toward my warranty to do absolutely nothing to fix the problem except to say, its a GM issue. Really? If you are a service manager, would you not know this about the car before driving it 40 miles? When I called to explain the issue a knowledgeable person would have asked questions and could have said, yes, it's an issue. I have zero faith in the service department! More
If I could give a 0 star I would. In Aug. 2022 we purchased a brand new conversion van from Reliable. Right from the beginning we had issues with the vehicle but they had already closed so we couldn’t take it back. They knew it had this problem too & still sold it but decided not to inform us. We live 2 hrs away so we took it to our local dealer to fix the seats. Fast forward about 6 months and the issues were piling up. We tried taking it to our local dealer but they didn’t want to work on it. So we were referred to Wally at Explorer vans. We had assumed he worked at Explorer corporate offices. Nope, later we found out he is at Reliable. He told us to take the vehicle to anyone who would work on it. We did but Explorer didn’t want to pay their price apparently so Wally had us take it to a place 2 hours away (not Reliable). This repair place was located in a subdivision surrounded by ghetto trash. Why in the world would you send someone with an $80,000 vehicle to the ghetto? Even after taking it there Explorer wouldn’t cover everything. We decided to just get rid of the vehicle. Took it back to Reliable and that is when we found out Wally worked there. We negotiated a deal for trade and traded it in. My husband decided to get a new vehicle too so we worked up a deal for him. Both vehicles were supposed to go through GM financial. I got my paperwork 2 weeks later but after 3 weeks the sales guy at Reliable texted my husband and said they couldn’t get us financed for the rate we signed for but they could do a better rate & that we needed to come back in & resign. At that point we started doing some investigating and after talking to GM Financial we found out the dealership pulled the contract. My husband decided he was done dealing with this company (the finance guy had an attitude towards us & it took several hours before we even got back to finance) & we went & purchased a vehicle from a different dealer. Apparently Reliable was trying to make money off of our interest rate and GM stopped allowing that a while back ago. We left the Reliable vehicle at the dealership we ended up purchasing from. Told the sales guy where it was and that they could come get it. It was safe where it was at. This has been one of the worst experiences when buying a new vehicle. We should have looked at dealerrater.com before purchasing & not rely on Google itself. More
Recently bought a 2011 Ram 1500 from John Norton. Within 2 weeks of owning the truck the check engine light came on. He won’t return my phone call. Everyone I talk to gives me the run around and says Within 2 weeks of owning the truck the check engine light came on. He won’t return my phone call. The dealership left a contact name Bbrooks@reliable Chevy for me to contact them and that was a week ago and I have still have not heard anything back from Reliable Chevy besides them asking me for 7k to rep for me to contact them and that was a week ago and I have still have not heard anything back from Reliable Chevy besides them asking me for 7k to replace an engine that had preexisting conditions and they don’t want to take ownership for selling me a bad car. I left a review on May 30 on how we paid cash for a car and the car shutdown within 4 1/2 hours and I contacted the dealership immediately. No warning lights came on or nothing the car started smoking and completely shut down leaking coolant. And they will not take responsibility for this lemon they sold us. They keep placing the responsibility on us. There is no way we could have drove the car with it leaking fluid like that. We have pictures of the car on the tow truck leaking fluid. The car started smoking and immediately shut down with no warning lights no nothing. They took all of my daughter money who is a college student that was her car to get back and forth to school and we didn’t even have the car the whole day. They are unreliable Chevy. They told us we can get a refund and it’s been over 30 days and they have yet to take responsibility for this car. Their mechanic Gary advised my insurance company that it was no way we could have drove that car and caused that amount of damage but then tried to change his story to keep Reliable from being responsible. Why post contact names on this website and pretend you are reaching out to the consumers when you know you are really not!!! Garbage!! More
Where should I start. I paid for a vehicle in cash almost 15k and the car broke down the same day. I called the salesman 1st and then called the dealership. I had to have I paid for a vehicle in cash almost 15k and the car broke down the same day. I called the salesman 1st and then called the dealership. I had to have the car towed to a dealership closer to me because I stay almost 5 hours away. After speaking with Mark Lawrence several times and Being accused of damaging the vehicle I still don’t have a car. The dealership I had it towed to informed me that I needed a new engine in which I advised Mark Lawrence if their findings. They finally came and towed the car back to their dealership a week after it broke down. Mark Lawrence contacted me and said you need to call your insurance company because you caused undercarriage damage and busted the radiator and you need a new engine. We literally had the car for 4 1/2 hours and there was nothing we could have possible hit that put this great big hole in the radiator and caused the engine to blow. After a bunch of back and forth with Mr. Lawrence he stopped taking my calls and then sent me a bill for 9800. Why in the world would i give you 25k for a car that’s probably only worth 12k. And I only had the car for 4 hours and now I’m responsible for an engine??? I’ve asked for a refund several times but I have been ignored. Not only do they still have my money but they have the vehicle as well. And it’s been a month and I can’t get anyone to return my calls or refund me my money. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership they are garbage. More
My complaint is with the Collision Center. I selected this dealership's collision center based upon the reviews I read about it on line. Plus, we have been customers' of Reliable since 200 I selected this dealership's collision center based upon the reviews I read about it on line. Plus, we have been customers' of Reliable since 2008 and have had nothing but good experiences with the sales and service departments. The center had our 2022 Chevy Traverse, which we purchased at Reliable, for 3 1/2 weeks for repairs. Several times I called or went by to get an update on repairs only to be told that an estimator would call and no one did. The only update I could get was from the center's executive assistant. She was them most helpful of anyone. Finally, the repairs were finished and we got the vehicle back and the repairs to the back bumper and trailer hitch were satisfactory. A few days later, I was cleaning up the Traverse and noticed several pieces of body paint were missing around then wheel wells on both sides. I took the vehicle to the center on Saturday May 7. I spoke with an estimator--Mark and showed him the paint chips. He took a form and made some notations. He told me someone from the center would call me on Monday, May 9 to schedule a day/time to bring it back. Well, true to form, no one called me. I called the General Manager Dave Anderson and left a detailed message expressing my dissatisfaction with the collision center. I left my contact number if he wanted to call me to discuss this situation. I cannot recommend this collision center to anyone needing their Chevy repaired. Poor communication and lack of quality control on final inspection of repairs prior to returning a vehicle back to then customer. More
I went into Reliable Chevrolet in Richardson, Texas this past Saturday, March 26, 2022. I put a truck on hold by giving my card information so that I can go to my bank on Monday to get a car loan from my ba past Saturday, March 26, 2022. I put a truck on hold by giving my card information so that I can go to my bank on Monday to get a car loan from my bank instead of from the dealership. By giving my card information, I am showing commitment to such vehicle. I also put the ‘SOLD’ sign on the vehicle and my salesperson parked the vehicle out of the selling space of the parking lot. Monday and Tuesday our salesperson unfortunately had an emergency. Therefore, I decided to finish the process and sign paperwork today Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Well, it turns out that my salesperson said that another salesperson ended up selling the car that I had separated. I immediately talked to the manager on duty, Derek. His only explanation to me was that they hadn’t seen the ‘SOLD’ sign in the truck. Yeah right. My question is, who took the sign off and why? Wasn’t the vehicle parked in a space so that other customers can’t see the car? The car was obviously sold to one of the workers at this dealership. The purpose of giving card information is to reserve the car. Not only does this dealership have terrible customer service. They are also very unprofessional and have no respect to the individual, except for my salesperson, Daniel Bonilla, who was always very kind and attentive. I want to create awareness to other customers to avoid this place and not waste other people’s time. More
BAIT AND SWITCH - Reliable (Unreliable) Chevrolet advertised on AutoTrader a used 2014 Toyota RAV4 for $ 19,792. When my son and daughter-in-law arrived at the dealership they were told the actual s advertised on AutoTrader a used 2014 Toyota RAV4 for $ 19,792. When my son and daughter-in-law arrived at the dealership they were told the actual sale price would be $2,000 higher than the advertised price online. Additionally, the dealership was trying to add an additional $ 879 for "Dealer Added Accessories". According to the Texas Administrative Code Title 43 Part 10 Chapter 215 Subchapter H Rule 215.250 (Re: Dealer Price Advertising)...(a) When featuring a sales price of a new or used motor vehicle in an advertisement, the dealer must be willing to sell the motor vehicle for that featured sales price to any retail buyer. We asked to speak with the Sales Manager and he told us that was how "Corporate" wanted to do it. We told them that it was illegal and that we would not pay the marked-up price. After going back and forth and after spending 4+ hours there, our salesman Andy Garcia told them if they were not willing to pay the additional $ 2,000 + the additional $ 879 they were going to sell the car to other "interested buyers" who just magically showed up and they were also negotiating with. When asked why they would be going thru the sales process with someone else while we were sitting in their sales office attempting to buy the car for the advertised price, they had no response. After requesting to speak with the General Manager Derek Hooser, he refused to come meet us and then 20 minutes later the Sales Manager Blake, came by and told us they had sold the car. What they did is illegal and extremely unethical. I am 63 and have never had a buying experience as disrespectful and dishonest, ever. Stay Away!!! More
