When I detect a problem, I contact Lara Vargas at Overland Park Jeep and she cautiously informs me my repair options so we can schedule an appointment for repair. On thee separate occasions, her diagnosis has bee spot-on. As a result, taking my Jeep in Lara's care is ideal for me. She is technically competent, cautious with initial diagnosis, and keeps me in the loop during the repair process. Lara is an outstanding individual and has my full confidence....the reason I return to OPJ for all my repair needs, I will also strongly consider buying a replacement Jeep from OPJ since I know Lara will keep her running great. Horrible Service, terrible manager Doug may be one of the worst service managers I have ever dealt with. I am absolutely appalled by his complete lack of communication and professionali Doug may be one of the worst service managers I have ever dealt with. I am absolutely appalled by his complete lack of communication and professionalism. I bought a 2016 Wrangler Unlimited from this dealership in oct of '16. The sales process was less than satisfactory, but they had the jeep I wanted, and they refused to trade it with another dealer for me to work with. But, that is a different story. 2 weeks ago, I purchased a Jeep recommended 4" mopar performance lift from the dealership and dropped of my car to have it installed. I spent a significantly larger amount of money for the lift going through the dealership, because I did not want to void any part of my extended warranties. When I came to pick the vehicle up, the lift looked nice and I was excited to drive it. However, as I exited the dealership and started driving down the road, I immediately noticed a hard pull to the left. Strong enough that I had to keep constant steering pressure to the right in order to drive in a straight line. I called the dealership immediately and Zach, one of the service people, assured me that it was normal and that it was because I still had the factory 18" wheels with 30" tires on it. I already had an appointment scheduled to have 17" rims with 35" tires later that afternoon, so I figured that I would trust his judgement and see how my jeep drove after having the tires installed. As soon as I pulled into the tire store, the manager that was helping me pointed out that one of the rear shocks had been installed incorrectly and was partially crushed because of the faulty installation. I had them go ahead and install the tires, then I immediately brought the jeep back to the dealership. They had the jeep for one day. They were able to reinstall a new shock to correct the issue. I picked up the jeep and drove out of the dealership and I still felt the hard nagging pull to left. I called the dealership again and once again, was told that it would work itself out. Trusting the advice of the service department, the next day I loaded my family in the car and hopped on the highway for a road trip. It was short lived. When the vehicle got over 65 mikes an hour, the ABS system activated cause the jeep to suddenly decelerate, jerk all over the road, and rumble incredibly hard. I was able to keep control of the vehicle, and start heading back down the road. But, once I crossed 65 again, this happened again. Fearing the safety of my family, I cancelled the trip and went home. The following Monday I dropped the car off in the morning. Zach ignored me when I came in, obviously frustrated that I was back again. I had to work with another service woman that was unfamiliar with the jeep. I told her about the situation and asked that I had someon call me about the vehicle to let me know what the plan was. The day passed with no communication. Completely and utterly disgusted with the lack of communication, I called the dealership to try and get ahold of the service manager. At this time I was able to speak with Doug for the first time. I let him know about the poor treatment from Zach, and about my concerns about the poor installation of the lift. He apologized for Zach, and assured me everything would be okay. He said give him a day to figure out what was going on, and he'd keep me in the loop. Days passed with no communication. Doug m has repeatedly chosen not to speak with me while the dealership has had my vehicle in their service center trying to correct a subpar instillation they performed. I've reached out via phone and email multiple times with no response. after having my car for four day, I was finally able to catch Doug via phone, he spoke with me briefly and asked to call me back in a few minutes, then completely severed communication with me again. This whole time I've been without a vehicle, and without commmunicatikn about my jeep. He finally had his service person Zach reach out to speak with me on the fifth day. He informed me that my vehicle was ready to go. When I pressed him about what the repair consisted of, he said that they were not able to get the Jeep to drive properly with the complete 4" Mopar kit, that I spent nearly $4000.00 on, installed on the vehicle. He stated that they had removed the upgraded front stabilizer bar from Fox, reinstalled the factory stabilizer bar, and were able to alleviate the strong push to the left by doing so. He asked me to come down and drive the jeep to ensure that I was satisfied. I can tell you that I am completely unsatisfied. In its current condition, I have paid $4000.00 for a partially installed product. This is not how service goes. This dealership has completely ruined my car, and installed a the 4" Mopar lift kit incorrectly. This situation still needs to be rectified. As the services manager, Doug should be involved with the time sensitive issue where they are at fault, yet I am waiting to hear from them on how they are planning to do so. In the mean time. I have reported the lack of communication, as well as the inability of the service team to install the Jeep recommended Mopar performance parts, to the Chrysler corporation. They have escalated the case and are starting an investigation into what is happening at this dealership. Funny enough, when they called the dealership, they were able to speak with Doug, who confirmed that they had done the installation incorrectly. I highly recommend that you do not use this service center for any repair or upgrade. More
