First, a brief recap of my Hyundai ownership experience. My 2016 Veloster, purchased used in Nebraska. Discovered a overheating issue 10 days into ownership. Had warranty work done by the service department at Reed Hyundai. The service was the replacement of a radiator fan wiring harness. When I picked up my Veloster after that work, my stereo did not work ( no sound ). I scheduled another appointment. Your service department charged 120$ to look at and I mean only look at the radio. Yes, the tech saw that aftermarket stereo wiring had been done, which voids factory warranty. But the recommendations was a 1100$ factory amp replacement. I declined. Three days later, while driving the Veloster, I hit a bump on the highway and. Poof, the radio works! This really upset me. I call your service department. A male answered the phone and I came unglued about the problem with my car. For that I’m sorry Jamal. I was angry that after a “ electrical issue” my car had a new electrical issue. And the solution to my complaint was “schedule another appointment”. So at this point I took the issue on myself. After a quick google/YouTube search, I found the issues. Eight poorly connected grounds for the electrical systems of this Hyundai. So last night I spent two hours removing bolts, cleaning connecting contacts and reconnecting cables. When done, it’s not 100% but if we slam the hood or hit a pot whole, the radio turns off/on. Again no problems prior to the electrical work done at Reed. Shame on you! For 120$ service fee someone could of told me, “ we can’t fix it due to the aftermarket wiring, but we know ( because you do I’ve looked at the service bulletins ) Hyundai cars are assembled with poor ground connections. If you clean them up and sand of the paint. All the electrical systems work way better”. I not impressed with your department. I’m extremely versed in dealer service departments . My oldest son is a ASE certified mechanic for a local Ford dealer. I don’t appreciate my treatment. Your department did electrical work on my Veloster and caused another electrical problem that you wouldn’t fix. Thank you for your time on this matter. I still believe that I should be refunded my 120$ service charge. Due to your lack of identifying that your tech caused a problem post electrical work. More

When arriving at the dealership a greeter wad there the the service rep took me inside and asked if I was going to wait? It only took an hour and a half, then I was on my home. Art was welcoming when I arrived. Felix was helpful and attentive when I picked up my car. Gilbert was nice when he gave me a shuttle to and from work.
