We were exceptionally well pleased by the service we received from the caplable, knowledgable and friendly service we received. We went to the dealership to have some warranty work done, but were somew received from the caplable, knowledgable and friendly service we received. We went to the dealership to have some warranty work done, but were somewhat inclined toward trading because, while we liked the car we felt that it was having too many problems. We contacted Justin, who talked with us at some length about Hyundais in general and the Santa Fe model in particular. He introduced us to his sales Mgr.,Michael Ball, who told us of a Santa Fe company car coming in the next day which would meet our needs very well and which also could probably meet our budget considerations as well. We returned the next day and worked with Bob Wright, who worked out a deal which we could agree with. The agreement was prepared and presented by Michael Evan Downs. Ex planations were concise but thorough and the entire transaction was pleasant and satisfying. More

And after my myrid of experiences with car sales-persons, I've always belived in Being in my mid-sixties, I've bought many cars both new and used. And after my myrid of experiences with car sales-persons, I've always belived in the axiom... happiness is selling a house full of termites to a car sales-person. John Munro was a refreshing exception to past experiences. From the very first encounter, when my wife & I were in the initial stage of examining many car types & styles, John was not only very informative about the many advantages of a Hyundai but showed general interest in us, our driving habits and why the Hyundai products would be a good fit to our requirements. He impressed us as not just a good ambassador for Hyundai but someone who showed interest, sensitivity and automotive knowledge about our personel needs/desires. We left that day, not particularly sold on the Hyundai just yet as we had other vehicles to see & test, but of the conclusion that if Hyundai ended up our car of choice we would return to Shawnee Mission Hyundai and buy it from John. And, of course that is exactly what occured. John was low-pressure, all-knowledge and wrapped in a level of professionalism and customer courtesy that we did not experience at other dealerships. From our initial encounter to many weeks after our purchase, John stayed in touch, walked us through issues and proceedures, explained our Santa Fe's features & options, set-up those programmable features we were unable to do, and in general made our entire Hundai/purchase experience one of great satisfaction. John has laid the old axiom to 'rest'. And it will be hard for me, during my next car purchase, regardless of manufacturer, to not look John up to see what he as to offer. Richard L. Calkins More
I walked into the dealership expecting to treated indifferently because 1) I was a woman 2) I was recently divorced which made my credit be crazy 3) I had no money to put down. One of the new car sa indifferently because 1) I was a woman 2) I was recently divorced which made my credit be crazy 3) I had no money to put down. One of the new car salesmen greeted me,took me into an office to talk and looked up my information on the computer (I'd applied online). He politely told me that he needed to make a call and would be back. The next face that I saw was that of Rebecca. She was smiling big and was extremely friendly. We discusssed my situation and she never blinked or wavered. She made me feel relaxed and accepted...not looked down upon. From the beginning, she assured me that I would be walking away with a good, new vehicle. I told her that I didn't want my payment over a certain amount and that I wanted my sales tax included in the payment. She talked to me some more and then asked me what my favorite color was. We completed some paperwork and then she invited me outside to look at a selection of cars for me to choose from. I was in tears because I didn't think that I'd be able to get a car on my own. She made me feel so good about my choice. She showed me the service department. Walked me through making my 1st service appointment then we went for a ride in the car that I chose. I cried again when I was signing papers because at 46 years old, I was buying my 1st car completely on my own. Rebecca shed a tear with me. I will definitely come back to that dealership when I need another car and hopefully Rebecca will still be working there. More

I gave Jon a pretty tough list of requirements and he went to work. After a couple of days he called to let me know he had a vehicle that met all my criteria, and we were able to strike a deal that, I believe was very fair to all concerned. Throughout the process, I was most impressed with Jon's friendliness and professionalism. I would not hesitate to recommend Jon to anyone looking for a used vehicle; and I know that the next time I am in the market, I will go see Jon. More
My name is Reegan and my mother and I worked with Rebecca Frederico about a month ago. My mom was looking into getting a car to replace her 1993 honda accord. She didn't know what exactly to look for, she Frederico about a month ago. My mom was looking into getting a car to replace her 1993 honda accord. She didn't know what exactly to look for, she had a budget and she needed to stick to it. It felt as if Rebecca found this as not a hurdle but a challange, and one that she definiately met! She listened to my mom and instead of pushing her to one car or another she got her the one my mom really wanted! My mom does not like driving anywhere she is not familiar with, I didn't know what Rebecca was going to say when we were test driving it and the person buying it wouldn't drive it. Rebecca just said, "My mom is the same way, no big deal." I loved that! Once the car was bought we were driving away from the lot when a friend who was behind us said that we had no brake lights...needless to say I wasn't happy, it got worse when I got back to the service department and delt with a man there that was not the nicest person. I just called Rebecca up and she apologized and said she would see it through and make sure it got fixed. I also noticed a sound while I was driving it and she looked into it and found that something needed to be replaced there as well. She offered us a car to drive and really calmed me down. We loved working with her, couldn't have asked for a better experience! I bought my 2007 sonata at shawnee mission and my partner just bought a 2009 Santa Fe there as well. Our experiences were not near as good as the one my mother had, so if I ever trade my car in I will be asking for Rebecca! More
First of all we really love our 2009 Santa Fe. It was a dealer owned car that only had 3011 miles on it when we bought it. Although it was considered "used" it still came with the full "new car" warranty. dealer owned car that only had 3011 miles on it when we bought it. Although it was considered "used" it still came with the full "new car" warranty. Pretty Awesome!!! Our sales person, Jon, was very helpful in guiding us through the car buying process. His knowledge of the cars and the company were very impressive considering his short tenure with the dealership. My wife and I felt no pressure from Jon to buy a car...I liked that. I was very impressed with the management of the dealership. My wife and I met just about every manager in the dealership as we finalized the sale. They made it a point to thank us for our purchase and encouraged us to call them if we had any problems at all with our car. I was, however, a bit disappointed with several dealership related decisions. 1. When I first began looking at the Santa Fe I was very interested in a specific blue one. Dispite my interest the dealership sold the car right out from under me without a single call from the dealership asking me if I was still interested in that specific car. I guess I felt like I should have had at least been given first crack at buying the car since I was considering it for purchase. Kudos to our salesman, Jon Munro, for directing us to the Santa Fe we eventually purchased. 2. Since our Santa Fe was a dealer owned car (they called it an MSO car) it was acquired by Shawnee Mission Hyundai through the auction process. Somewhere in the process one of the key fobs was lost. When I asked the dealership to provide a second key fob (typically new cars come with 2 fobs) I was told by our salesman that his boss said that they could not do that. Bad Cal!!! When I checked the cost of one with the parts department I was told that it was $160 for the fob and another $40 to program it. $200 for something the dealership, in my opintion, really should have taken care of considering the investment I was making in their automobile. I immediately went home and did an internet search and found an OEM fob for $40. $40 versus $160. Someone's getting ripped off but it wasn't me. I scheduled my Santa Fe for service to have the key fob programmed and again...kudos to the service department...I told them my story about the fob and they programmed my key fob at no cost to me. Overall I would have to say that we were pleased with our experience at Shawnee Mission Hyundai and would recommend them to others. More
Coming from a position of dreading car shopping, and not having done so in ten years, I was prepared to be underwhelmed by the experience. I happened to live chat with Tracy Bean @ Shawnee Mission Hyundai having done so in ten years, I was prepared to be underwhelmed by the experience. I happened to live chat with Tracy Bean @ Shawnee Mission Hyundai and made an appointment to visit the dealership. I was pleasantly surprised by the painlessness of the process of finding a car with Tracy's assistance. She was knowledgeable, friendly, professional and followed up with me by phone and E-mail. I would recommend Tracy and the rest of the staff that I met at Shawnee Mission Hyundai to anyone in search of a car. More
