Was looking at buying a Hyundai Santa Fe and was originally shown the sel which has phone chargers in the back and vents/ac in the 3rd row. After needing to hit a lower price, the salesman showed me originally shown the sel which has phone chargers in the back and vents/ac in the 3rd row. After needing to hit a lower price, the salesman showed me an SE and said the only difference is mainly the leather seats but failed to mention all of these other missing features. He also didn’t show me a spec sheet. I ended up buying the car and not noticing until my daughter rode in the 3rd row and told me none of those features are there. In the future I’ll know to not trust the salesman and do my research but it is frustrating that he played down the differences to make a sale. I would recommend going with an alternative like Carvana where you don’t have to deal with dishonest salesman. More
I had a 1230 appointment and was there at least 10 minutes early. It was for a routine oil change and checkup. I asked when I got there if it was possible to do the recall for the infotainment system minutes early. It was for a routine oil change and checkup. I asked when I got there if it was possible to do the recall for the infotainment system if it was not going to add too much time. My service rep said that the overall time for both services should be about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. No worries. I was there and would rather get it taken care of all at once. After an hour and and half I had walked around and saw my car parked on the outside of the shop so I assumed the oil change and checkup was done and so I just said if it is done I will just come back later for the recall. He went to go check on the status and it had not been taken back at all. I asked about why even have an appointment time if it is not going to be e started soonish to that time. And the answer was that it is more or less the time that you get in line and no promises about when it will get done. Everyone in the waiting area was glued to their phones so I just think there is no worries from the dealsrship about customers keeping them accountable. In the end I got some money off my bill for the inconvenience, which I did not ask for, so that was nice. But I cannot help feel like customers time is not important to them anymore and honestly it is not just the dealerships fault. More
