The only thing I was disappointed with is when they brought me the key and never mentioned the vehicle had no spare key. I thought that it was very unprofessional to wait till they handed key over then brought me the key and never mentioned the vehicle had no spare key. I thought that it was very unprofessional to wait till they handed key over then told us there was no extra key. More
Extremely slow service. Scheduling an appointment is pointless. They have a long queue of cars awaiting parts/service. They don't provide updates during this time (because Scheduling an appointment is pointless. They have a long queue of cars awaiting parts/service. They don't provide updates during this time (because there are no updates due to the queue). Expect to wait at least a week to get an update about what's wrong with the vehicle. I called a week or two before and asked for a service appointment. I was asked when I wanted to come in. I choose 7:00 am on 6/19. I received two reminders for that appointment. My husband dropped the ca appointment. I was asked when I wanted to come in. I choose 7:00 am on 6/19. I received two reminders for that appointment. My husband dropped the car off thinking he would hear back later that day. Long story short, i returned from a trip 12 days later and still no car. Husband had contacted G in the service department by email and phone. He was told there were priorities ahead on my Tucson. He didn’t know when they would get to my car. Since all I wanted was the check engine light turned off, I went and got the car myself on 7/2. It looked as if the car had been sitting untouched all this time. A couple days later I open the back to find the plastic undercarriage cover in the trunk. I called and left a message about bringing the car back and having the piece reinstalled while I waited, no reply. First of all just tell me you’re swamped and can’t look at my car for a month. Don’t ask me when I want to come in. This is terrible customer service. This 2022 Tucson is the fifth Hyundai our family has had, two came from Red McCombs. Don’t tell me you have priorities ahead of mine. Better rethink that “At Red McCombs we’ll do whatever it takes.” More
I had my Sonata Hybrid in for a safety recall. Scheduling and communication was poor. I scheduled an appointment online specifically for the recall which showed up in their system and the scheduler indicated it would be 9:30 to 4:00 for the work to get done. The online scheduling system had a section for notes and I asked to be notified of the length of time for service as I indicated I would wait for the car. I never received a call back and when I dropped off the car was told the repair would take a couple days. I left the car but wasn't told they didn't didn't even have the parts to do the work. I found this out when I called back 3 days later to check on the status. It was a manufacturer recall so they had to have known what parts were required before I even took the car in, no need for a service technician to diagnose a problem to determine what parts were required. Ended up taking 5 days for what I thought was going to be a same-day repair. More
