Horrible parts department Purchase a new battery and was told 3 year free replacement. One month later battery tested bad. Called parts department for a replacement battery. Purchase a new battery and was told 3 year free replacement. One month later battery tested bad. Called parts department for a replacement battery. Now they are saying in order to replace battery, I have to take vehicle to the service department, so the can print out a work order from the service department. So they can honor their 3 year free replacement. It's not free if car goes to service department. Frustrating they dont disclose this xxxx during purchasing a battery from the parts department More
Lesson learned Learning a $30,450 lesson. Call it being naïve, gullible or just down right foolishness on my part. On December 23, 2018 after 2 years of reviewing t Learning a $30,450 lesson. Call it being naïve, gullible or just down right foolishness on my part. On December 23, 2018 after 2 years of reviewing the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Cherokee, I finally decided to make the purchase. I’ll tell you now that I am not a negotiator by any means. When I want something, I get it. Now I’ve been working on building my credit in order to get a better interest rate, so I knew what it was but wasn’t too sure on what the finance companies would offer. I drove 40 miles to the dealership that cars.com had showed me where my vehicle of my dreams was located. It was a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee black on black. I watched this vehicle for 3 months. I then went to the dealer site assuming that it would have the most updated information there. Of course, there was the same vehicle that I had been watching for the last 3 months. I read all the different incentives that they had to show the price being as low as it was. I arrive at the dealership. Isaac approaches us. I show him what I’m looking for and he looks at my phone and says he will go check and see if they still have it. He comes back and says, “we just sold it”. Of course, they did. He then goes to show us the 2019 Grand Cherokee which was not in my budget or at least that was not the number I was willing to spend. Let’s speed up… There was a Jeep Cherokee on the showroom floor that Isaac asked if I’d take look. I did and was immediately in love with it. I wasn’t originally looking for a 2019 but this caught my eye. He asked if I wanted to test drive it, I said yes. He went over to a group of employees and said a few words and came back to tell me I could not drive that one but can drive something like it just not the same color. This should have been a red flag. How do you tell a customer no on a $30K purchase? I was too excited about purchasing a vehicle and had tunnel vision. I went ahead, and test drove the white vehicle. While driving I asked how much I will be paying out the door after the incentives I qualify for. Isaac stated “around $28K” Isaac told us everything that this vehicle had that mine was coming with. We got back, and I was asked to come in to go over financing options. I looked at the car I was wanting to purchase and had a seat at Isaacs desk. I was already pre-approved by two other companies, I shared this information with Isaac who then shared it with the financial department. Upon being approved with a better interest rate from someone different I accepted. I went in and sat with Lawrence who had all the paper work for me to sign. I asked Lawrence how much I’ll be paying out the door he pointed to the 30450 prices on the paperwork. Apparently, this was not including the 4K 100K mile warranty. (Lesson Learned) After signing for a car I never drove (Silly, foolish me) I asked Lawrence for the pink bow that was on my car. He asked if I would bring it back and I said no. He then said they were unable to give that away (another red flag) but offered me a beanie baby instead. I refused. They then asked the guys to move my car to the outside and they didn’t even want to move the other car that was somewhat in the way until Lawrence told them to. (Lazy) I left happy with my car but unhappy about my treatment, but too excited about my purchase. After telling my story to a few friends everyone has said the same thing. Racial profiling. I should have left and not give my business to them. But too late. I’m happy with vehicle but if you’re looking for 10-star treatment this is not the place. You would think after spending that kind of money a bow was the least, they could do. Shame on Cars.com and Razzari for not updating their website with better information and false advertisement. Razzari, thank you for the reminder that the color of my skin is still seen as my credit is bad and I’m broke. So, no I do not recommend doing business here. More
