We recently purchased a used Hyundai Sonata from Ray Skillman West Auto Mall, and the overall experience was a very pleasant one. Our salesperson, Clinton Florczyk, was very knowledgeable about the car, but more importantly, he listened to our needs and tried to meet them. We had visited several other dealerships, and the salespeople at the other dealerships wouldn't listen to what we wanted and kept trying to push us into cars that we didn't want to buy. Cory in the finance department was very knowledgeable and patient as well when it came time for us to finance the car. And the body shop did an excellent job of fixing a small scratch in the trunk lid - you can't even tell where the scratch was. As far as inventory goes, based on our research, the dealership itself had the best inventory of any of the Hyundai dealerships in central Indiana. If you are looking for a new or used Hyundai, I would recommend starting at Ray Skillman West Auto Mall. Then go look at the other dealerships - but I guarantee you'll come back to Ray Skillman. More

We were blown away by the entire team's customer focus. Ashley Whiteside - Internet Marketing (Prompt and the first to call out of three dealers that we queried on the internet. Early bird gets the worm.) Chad Anderson - Sales Manager (Greeted us with a smile and kindness) Avery Lyons - Salesman (OUTSTANDING from the moment we got out of our car. He knows customer service) David Gambrall - Finance Manager (He's a magician and has a huge bag of treasures to pull from. He listens and delivers without any BS back and forth pricing wars. He exceeded our expectations by getting us a better monthly price than what we walked in expecting. We thought $285/month and he got us $278/month.) This was my son's first purchase of a car and he now claims he will not buy from anyone other than Ray Skillman. Smart young man. We started our search closer to home at another dealership and was thoroughly disappointed. We should have started out at Ray Skillman. Even if you have to drive 40 to 50 miles, Ray Skillman will make it worth your while. What a delightful experience as a new car buying experience should be. Call me to do a commercial. I briefly stopped by this dealership while I was in town looking at houses and met with Andy Gregorie. I told him what car I wanted (after he went through all the options in detail) and hat I wanted it rea looking at houses and met with Andy Gregorie. I told him what car I wanted (after he went through all the options in detail) and hat I wanted it ready for me when I moved to town a month later. With only a $500 deposit he scoured and found me a car that met my specifications. It wouldn't be in until a few days after I got to town so he set me up with a loaner car until it came in and even gave me a full tank of gas and told me not to refill it. There were not unreasonable "hidden fees" and he stuck with the price we negotiated via e-mail. While I was waiting on financing and forms to be completed he let me play with the new car. He even took the time to show me various cool features and set up my phone's bluetooth. The guy who handled financing (Jared) was also friendly and helpful. He took the time to explain all of the options in detail and answer all of my questions. He even let me call in some info later that I didn't have on me. In addition to just being an overall good car buying experience Andy really went the extra mile a couple times. He helped me print and fax some real estate forms while I was in his office, and he called a local restaurant several times trying to find a cell phone we had lost. His service and friendly attitude went a long way! More

I had been looking at cars for about 6 months, was interested in a hybrid model, and still wanted something that was sporty, affordable, and still met all my comofort criteria. I ended up purchasing interested in a hybrid model, and still wanted something that was sporty, affordable, and still met all my comofort criteria. I ended up purchasing the 2012 Sonata Hybrid. My number one pet peeve with car dealerships and sales personnel is lack of honesty. So many times they are too eager to sell their own product, they are not knowledgable about other products or the comparable cars on the market, and harass you. They can't give you an accurate comparison. I'm a buyer who doesn't buy the first thing they see, does not like to be stalked while on the car lot, and wants a sales person with knowledge of pricing, options, and offers a fair and honest opinion on other alternatives i should consider. Nate Edwards helped meet all these criteria, and even used his personal car (a Kia Optima) is an example of other comps on the market vs. purely pushing his own product (the Sonata). In my industry, this is what we call an honest broker. Give the client all the options, the pluses and minuses of the different options, and then advocate for why you think the product your selling may best fit your client's needs or admit it when it does not. Being able to test drive the car without someone standing over my shouilder was also helpful. It allowed me to form my own opinion. I was pleased with the responsiveness and ability of the Ray Skillman staff to help find the car that suited my needs. More
I recently went in to the mazda dealer on the west side of indianapolis to purchase a new car with my wife, a one year old and a three year old child. I brought in a car to see how much I could get for it on a trade in. Depending on that, I was going to move forward with my negociation. They asked for my keys to look at the car and to get the vin number. After a while, they came back with a value for my car and I decided to go ahead with the negociation as it seemed to be fair. After four hours at the dealership, and a lot of negociating, we were close to an agreement. We had already picked the color of the car etc. For every negociated amount they made me sign a form in agreement to it. All of the sudden, they came to tell me that the amount had gone up $2000 because my car had a rebuilt title. They should have told me that in the beginning not after I wasted four hours of my Saturday, with my children, without a nap and without food. This is not a joke! We were there with the intent to buy a car. This was my third time out there. I was treated very well by Ian who answered all my questions and helped me in every way. His service, knowledge and hospitality were the reason why I came back to purchase that car from him. I hope Ray Skillman reads this and does something about it. This is not how you treat your customers. More
