The Only Dealership for Me! Words can not express how much I appreciate the wonderful staff at Ray Skillman South Side Hyundai! Previously, I had been dealing with a lemon from Words can not express how much I appreciate the wonderful staff at Ray Skillman South Side Hyundai! Previously, I had been dealing with a lemon from a different make/model/dealership and was terribly unhappy with the overall service I was receiving. I was being told that was how the car was supposed to be or that it was my driving that was causing all of the issues... Even during the arbitration process, I was receiving horrible treatment... My calls were frequently hung up on, and I was getting no answers to any questions. In a fit of desperation, and not knowing how things would turn out with the Lemon Law process, I began looking at potentially swapping out my car for a new one. Back in March, I decided to give Hyundai a try after quite a few recommendations from colleagues and met with Brandon Michael. I was very up front with my situation and he didn't even blink. In fact, he was very supportive and willing to do what ever it took to get me into a safer car and help me move on from the situation. We were able to look at and test drive quite a few vehicles. At the end of that first day, he offered to run some figures to see if everything would work out... but I was unable to release my current vehicle due to the arbitration process. He still didn't shy away or say, "Good luck, see you later." Instead, he took down my information and asked when he could call to check up on how I was progressing through the process. Wow... I couldn't believe that even though a sale was not pending, he was willing to keep in touch! Now, flash forward almost 3 months... Brandon and I had been in contact over the course of time with phone calls here and there to touch base on where I was and if there was anything he could do to help.... I let him know that I was close to finalizing the agreement and that I was waiting on the checks to be written and my car to be repurchased... I went back to the dealership to test drive the Elantra GT and we were introduced to his manager... Joe Nolan... who was already up to date on my situation. Knowing that I had such a rough time with my previous dealership/car, he had a slew of information to share with me. He broke down the warranty and the maintenance of the Elantra GT and what I could expect... he also introduced me to a few of the members of their Service department. As routine as this possibly is, it meant quite a bit to me... To go out of their way to help me to get over my previous experience left a lasting impression... Too not even know if I was buying a vehicle or not, and to receive such service speaks highly of the men and women at this dealership... They weren't focused on the hard sell or in forcing me to make a decision, but there to help me be as informed as I could be on the vehicles they could provide. Yet another month down the road, thinking they were probably tired of hearing from me without talking specifics, I was finally through with arbitration and had check in hand... I had made my mind up that the white Elantra GT was the car for me... Not knowing if they would have on on the lot, both Brandon and his manager offered to put me in a rental until they could have one delivered so that I would not be without a vehicle!! Again, wow! They really do have their customers best in mind! The night I made it to the dealership, everything went incredibly smoothly. I was very nervous about jumping into a new car and was uncertain of the outcome... but Brandon passed me off to an incredible financial manager, Mike Evans. He had absolutely everything ready for me when I arrived in his office. He had almost every kind of option written out and went over everything with me... Breaking down what each option entailed, what each ultimately cost... what the finance charges would be... He even endured my hundreds of questions! The only rating, if you've read this far, that I had slightly less than 5 (but there aren't any half ratings), was the Quality of Work. After everything they've done, I'm probably just a bit knit-picky, but the detailing of the vehicle before delivery just seemed to be a bit rushed. There were still quite a few plastic coverings throughout the vehicle (belt buckles, panoramic sun roof, large sheets of plastic sticking out from the back seat) and the windows were streaked. Also, the vehicle feels like it might have a tire out of balance and the alignment is slightly off... But, the tire/alignment is being taken care of by the service department with an appointment this week. (Yay!) With such a wonderful staff... Brandon, Joe, and Mike... I think this will be my dealership for life... I absolutely love my vehicle and I appreciate all the work the gentlemen above put into making the process so comfortable. I never felt pressured and was encouraged to ask as many questions as I could to help this be a knowledgeable sale. They have all done their part to help me forget how horribly I was treated as a customer of my previous vehicle. I have talked to all my friends and family and will happily recommend this dealership for new car sales. I am a very happy customer. Buying a car put a smile on my face. I came to dealership to look and drive a new mustang. I was greeded by Jeremy Friar at the door. We went for a drive I was totaly in love but in I knew in time I would have a problem getting in and out of car. Went home. A sales manger phone me about a chrysler a dodge charger you had just got in. Came back met Jeremy and drove chrysler 300 S. This was salesmanship on Jeremys part.... chrysler is now in my garage. Jeremy did make the[13th'] a good day. Life experiences last two years have not been good to me. Many of my friends and family have heard this story about Jeremy and your dealership. Now I have a smile when I drive the 300. More

But i have to honestly say that working with Troy has changed that mindset for me. He was very nice, honest and open, and eager to help. I went to him looking for a new vehicle with some bumps in my credit history. Where other dealerships and Sales Managers might have treated me with less respect and want to spend less time working with you, I feel Troy was just the opposite. He treated me like I was shopping with endless funds, but really trying to make this work for me ... and he did! From the first step of test driving vehicles and him taking the extra time on his end to find something that matched my budget the entire process was great. I thank Troy for all of his work and kindness to put me into my first new vehicle. I would absolutely without hesitation recommend him and this dealership to anyone in the market for a new or different vehicle. I am a Sales Manager in a different market.
