We visited this dealership after being quoted a price for a vehicle meeting our specifications, over the phone. After driving 1.5 hours to the lot, we learned that the car we had been discussing did not exis a vehicle meeting our specifications, over the phone. After driving 1.5 hours to the lot, we learned that the car we had been discussing did not exist and that the price we were quoted over the phone was now null and void. It was mentioned at this time that there were several cars in the area that met our specifications that they could get for us. We negotiated a price and were happy. We had a signed contract for a car. We had already written the check and had a VIN number. The contract explicitly stated that we had purchased that particular car. The next day, we were told that this vehicle had already been sold and that they could not get another, similar car. David Everett then informed us that our purchase was subject to availability and that it was our tough luck and our problem. We encouraged him to re-read our contract, after which he never mentioned that fact again. You see, our purchase wasn't subject to availability - we had purchased that particular car and we had already given them the money for it. His statement would be like me saying "the money may or may not be in the bank, it is subject to availability and, if it isn't there, tough luck and it's your problem not mine". After three days of hassle and stress, and being told by David Everett that it was our problem and we would have to deal with it, it was discovered that an identical car was found and could be given to us in leiu of the car we purchased. Amazing!! If he had spent half as much time trying to fix the problem as he did trying to weasel his way out of a binding contract, we would have already had a car. The most important part of buying a car is in the actual transferal of the vehicle to the purchaser - this dealership cannot even do this!! No apology was given, no 'it was our fault', no 'how can we make this right?', just a 'wham, bam, we don't give a xxxx'! More

My husband & I were unsure of what kind of car we were actually looking for, so we test drove quite a few cars over the course of 2 1/2 days before deciding. Our sales person (James Green) was so patient with us during the whole process and showed us whatever we wanted to look at and took us to other lots to help us find the right car. (They even allowed us to drive a couple home and keep them over night without pressuring us to make a quick decision.) The entire staff was helpful and knowledgeable when we asked questions and trust me, we asked a lot of them and never once did they complain. I would also like to say, once we found the car we were interested in, we had the pleasure of meeting Doug in finance and he went over the financing with us and when we wanted lower payments than what was quoted he worked diligently to make it happen. I would also like to say that the GM, (Chuck) worked closely with James and Doug and was instrumental in putting the deal together for us as well as Mr. Skillman himself. Mr. Skillman was also a big part of our deal and allowed the guys to make it happen. I was so impressed by the fact that Mr. Skillman visits each of his lots daily. He inquired about our progress the entire time. He is very involved with his staff and his customers. If you're looking to purchase a new or used vehicle, Ray Skillman is the place to go! Bruce was so very wonderful to work with. We had bought a used car from there about 2 years ago and had a good experience then. Test drove it and then brought it home overnight on the suggestion of Bruce. Upon researching the car, it had major history of trouble with the 2.7L engine and there are 3 class action lawsuits. So we took the car back with the intent of stopping the search. Bruce went looking for a Saturn that I had seen online, but could not find it. Came across a 2002 Ford Taurus that had just been traded in, but was not in the system. Brought it to our attention. Beautiful, checked the history - very good, and we ended up buying the car that night. They kept the car to detail it. Upon picking it up, the front coil spring on the drivers side broke before it was even put in gear! This ruptured the tire. Ray Skillman had the car towed and the coil spring repaired. They even popped for 2 new tires. :) They are really good people and Bruce went out of his way to find the right car for us. More
