I am writing this letter based on my fantastic experience working with one of your Sales and Leasing Consultants, Cody Freeman. My wife and I recently purchased a 2012 Ford Edge from your dealership after a working with one of your Sales and Leasing Consultants, Cody Freeman. My wife and I recently purchased a 2012 Ford Edge from your dealership after almost 6 months of searching and several changes in our requirements. Throughout my time searching for a new car, Cody was diligent in following up, yet patient with our constantly changing situation. Cody’s strong knowledge of Ford cars allowed us to feel very comfortable during the feature selection process for our new Edge. In the past I have received regrettable service from Sales Consultants at other dealerships in the area (none of them were Skillman dealerships) resulting in us approaching this search process with a high degree of apprehension. Based on my experience with Cody I will never purchase another Ford from another dealer and will emphatically recommend him and Ray Skillman to anybody I know searching for a new car. I am attempting to get a pro-rated refund on several aftermarket warranties I purchased on a vehicle through Ray Skillman in 2009. Cody was very professional. Felt like we had known him forever. Took time to go over everything regarding our new truck. I would/and will come back to him when we need another vehicle. After a long conversation on what I wanted, expected, and received from the Management and Gary; I am very satisfied with my experience with the dealership. Gary has called and check on us every week after purchasing our car. He even asked that I call him personally for any service or parts issues I may want on my car. As explained to me, our experience with them also helped them adjust their sales staff to better look at their customers. It is about service and helping out a potential customer and not stereotyping a customer who wont give them the big sale they want. To me, repeat business, and word of mouth is huge. I think this dealership has that. We traded in a 2009 Ford Mustang GT for a 2012 Ford Mustang Roush S3. It is important to understand your customers and thier needs/wants. You never know who your customer may really be. A lost sale may never be returned to you if your not lucky. This dealership understands that. Going out of the way to Pick the car my wife wanted. The options she wanted. The financing. Prep of the car. Delivery and explaination of the options and goodies on the car. Quick class on the MySync in the car. I just found out about this website, the car my wife purchased was actually a couple of years ago. I feel so strongly about what happened to me, I still wanted to post it. my wife took her Escape in t purchased was actually a couple of years ago. I feel so strongly about what happened to me, I still wanted to post it. my wife took her Escape in to trade it on, on something else, I went in earlier in the day, to look at some cars, I had to work, I shown one car, (it was a big step down from the escape my wife had, however it did get better gas mileage, and would be cheaper payment) however when my wife arrived, the sales staff, advised her, to allow her current car to be repo'd , and to get a different car, that she really could not afford, nor got very good fuel mileage. I do agree that my wife should have known better, however I am still very upset over the whole transaction, oh as an added bonus, she paid full sticker price, at an interest rate of 21% I really wish I had the sales persons name because, I would print it everywhere, but I would not ever go back to this store, to anyone reading this, GO TO BILL ESTES in Brownsburg...... Everyone my husband and I spoke with was very helpful and professional. They knew how much of a payment I could make and they did everything they could to get the price down so I could afford to get the Foc professional. They knew how much of a payment I could make and they did everything they could to get the price down so I could afford to get the Focus. We really appreciated everything they did. The reason I gave a 4 for overall experience was because there were some problems with the body of the car that had to be taken care of. The front passenger door would not open and shut properly which was due to the trim on the back door not being aligned properly. There was also a crack in the windshield and the antenna was missing. The windshield was replaced and the antenna put on but the door was not completely fixed because parts had to be ordered and some are back-ordered. We are still waiting to hear from Skillman as to when these parts are received. They did fix the door enough that we can open it properly. I had to do without my car for 2 days but the dealership did provide me with a rental which was greatly appreciated. Had it not been for these inconveniences my overall experience would have been a 5. More
