Buy Here Pay Here is great Service center is terrible Bought a Rav4 in Feb from Jim Everett had a great experience with Jim and the staff at buy here pay here did everything they could to get us in a vehi Bought a Rav4 in Feb from Jim Everett had a great experience with Jim and the staff at buy here pay here did everything they could to get us in a vehicle we could afford. 3 weeks later we started having problems with the heater box as the a.c. knob was getting stuck took it in to service it was there for almost 3 weeks apparently the wrong part she if they had to reorder the new part and a couple other things happen while all this was going on Jim made sure we had a loner so that was okay Jim was extremely nice and apologetic that this it happened well we pick up there Rav4 and a week later the same issue happens again the knob is froze and won't turn. Contacted Jim again and he got us in another loaner while the service center worked on it yet again. Came and picked it back up the next day I noticed the light on the knob wasn't lighting up for whatever reason they didn't make sure the light was working well I overlooked that because it had already been in the shop twice about a week goes by and the same thing the knob freezes up will not turn in this time the entire knob falls in the dash so yet another 35 mile trip to bring our Rav4 back into the shop for the same issue!!! If it wasn't for Jim Everett doing everything he could for us to make it right I wiould tell them to keep the car. The service shop needs to be looked into. Will update one I get my car back as its still in the shop.... More

A new beginning! Ray Skillman Ford & South SIde Hyundai has an "In house financing department" (buy-here-pay-here). My Wife and I didn't have the credit to finance a Ray Skillman Ford & South SIde Hyundai has an "In house financing department" (buy-here-pay-here). My Wife and I didn't have the credit to finance a newer vehicle, but did not want to go to a side street buy-here-pay-here place either. Once we found out about Ray Skillman offering a buy-here-pay-here option we went and checked it out. Jim Everett put my wife and I into a 2004 F-150 with low miles and in immaculate condition inside and out! Each and every one of the vehicles goes through a thorough inspection. After a few months we went back and acquired a 2nd vehicle with very low miles and again in excellent condition inside and out! What is especially great about it is that they report good standings to your credit, so our credit scores quickly started climbing! One year went by and our credit had raised enough that we just traded one of our buy-here-pay-here vehicles in at the same location, but this time we were able to get a newer even nicer vehicle financed! Thanks to Jim, Derek, Mike, and Dwayne for helping my Wife and I to keep our Family in safe and reliable vehicles and helping us build our credit! P.S. I did research on the type of vehicle I wanted, buying at the end of the month, being careful about who I would eventually do my dealing with and finally not being pressured. Almost none of my preparation worked. I was first approached by a seemingly nice young man who, turns out to be a front man for a pro-salesman. I’m still shaking my head about what the heck happened. I got 2000$ for my tradein that they immediately put back on the lot for 8000. When they argued about tradein value they said that’s as good as they could do. I needed a certain type of towing package on the vehicle and the salesman said, oh yes, complete towingpackage! It wasn’t... cost me an additional 300$ to get it. I was so excited to get a new vehicle and they just spoil the whole process. I’m thinking that if your in the market, take a friend that’ll look out for the bull that will certainly get thrown at you during your car buying experience, ANYWHERE , you go. More

The finance gentleman, Gary Wehr(sp?), was also very helpful. It made me more comfortable purchasing a new vehicle after he looked over my finances and found the most affordable price for me.
