The folks at Ray Skillman were friendly and very professional. Since they have multiple dealerships in close proximity, the salesman even took us to look at another model down the road and brought professional. I would recommend Ray Skillman KIA/GMC/Ford/Chevrolet to anyone who is looking for a new or used vehicle. I don't remember some of the personnel except for J. Hurless, our salesman but there was a Doug Magnusen/Finance Manager who helped my mother, Betty L. Garard with her paperwork for the used 2010 KIA Sportage and he was a very nice man & knew his business. Very smart cookie! :0) They both stayed way after "Closing" hours to help us. We traded in our beloved 2007 Ford Mustang, 2 door Coupe which was very hard to part with but due to Indiana Weather (snow, ice, freezing rain) we really wanted something other than rear wheel drive! We wanted a AWD but none were on the lot in Greenwood (US 31) South. We bought the new 2011 KIA Sportage LX - 4 door, 4 cylinder. One of the Showroom Floor person (can't remember his name??) said they only had a few 2011's on the Lot and they would have to call around or order us a AWD KIA Sportage and we just were too excited & didn't want to wait! :0) We have front wheel drive and that should be just fine during the winter months! We just LOVE our new KIA!!! More
The Salesman, J. Hurless was very friendly, outgoing, & very helpful. He really wanted to give my Mom, Betty Garard the BEST deal and I feel that was DONE! My Mom did not realize the pre-owned 2005 Ford very helpful. He really wanted to give my Mom, Betty Garard the BEST deal and I feel that was DONE! My Mom did not realize the pre-owned 2005 Ford Taurus was involved in an accident which caused some body & paint damage until the VIN was used in computer & it showed that the car was in an accident. Community Ford in Mooresville used the worst quality Paint & done a very poor body repair,to passenger side of the vehicle!!! Therefore, my Mom did not get near what she wanted for the trade-in for the 2010 KIA Sportage but did get what she wanted for the 2001 Honda Odessy. ;) Doug Magnusen was very friendly & courteous, too. He prepared my mother's paperwork quickly and we had him working overtime due to duty hours close on Saturday's around 6:00pm and we were there until like 7:00 or 7:30pm! J.Hurless stuck around, too. We really appreciate the long hours they put in for us on Saturday, August 8, 2010. My husband, Michael A. Mobley and I are about ready to trade-in our 2007 Ford Mustang and purchase a 2011 KIA Sorento with AWD, etc. We are now PAST the "middle-age crisis" of owning a sportscar (Ford Mustang) now we are ready for comfort, safety & luxury since we have worked long & hard all of our lives & getting ready for retirement!! More
Our salesperson, Erica Goodnow, was very efficient. She showed us what we originally came into look at, as well as some other alternatives. He explained everything involved in completing the sale. We did not feel as though we were being high-pressured at any time. He got as a very good rate and also instrumental in getting us a little more for our trade in. General Manager, Chuck DeWitt, treated us well also. More
I was on vacation from Colorado when my 2008 Kia Sorrento lost power going down the interstate. (This had happened a month before back in Colorado, but when I took it into the dealer there, they blamed it o lost power going down the interstate. (This had happened a month before back in Colorado, but when I took it into the dealer there, they blamed it on twisted wires under my seat due to garbage being under my seat. Sure I had some trash under my seat, but I doubted that was what was responsible for the problem.) I was almost at Bedford, Indiana when I called a Kia Dealer and they said they had no openings until the following week, which didn't work for me because I had to return to Colorado that weekend. They referred me to Ray Skillman and Amber was able to get me in that day. After about an hour, they told me what the problem was and that that is what they'd expected. (Seems Kia has had that problem before.) One part they had in stock, another they had to "overnight." They gave me a rental car (at no charge) and the very next day had my Kia fixed. I did have to drive an extra hour and a half each way, but the service was friendly, accurate, and quick. Thanks! You made what could have been a mountain into a molehill. More

My husband & I were unsure of what kind of car we were actually looking for, so we test drove quite a few cars over the course of 2 1/2 days before deciding. Our sales person (James Green) was so patient actually looking for, so we test drove quite a few cars over the course of 2 1/2 days before deciding. Our sales person (James Green) was so patient with us during the whole process and showed us whatever we wanted to look at and took us to other lots to help us find the right car. (They even allowed us to drive a couple home and keep them over night without pressuring us to make a quick decision.) The entire staff was helpful and knowledgeable when we asked questions and trust me, we asked a lot of them and never once did they complain. I would also like to say, once we found the car we were interested in, we had the pleasure of meeting Doug in finance and he went over the financing with us and when we wanted lower payments than what was quoted he worked diligently to make it happen. I would also like to say that the GM, (Chuck) worked closely with James and Doug and was instrumental in putting the deal together for us as well as Mr. Skillman himself. Mr. Skillman was also a big part of our deal and allowed the guys to make it happen. I was so impressed by the fact that Mr. Skillman visits each of his lots daily. He inquired about our progress the entire time. He is very involved with his staff and his customers. If you're looking to purchase a new or used vehicle, Ray Skillman is the place to go! My visit was a little disapointing at first, I didn't like the car they had in my price range. But Ray and Chad were very helpful... and patient. They ended up finding me a great car.
