Service was very good initially. Here’s where it declined. I had my own financing. I was enroute to literally pick up the check for the purchase. Apparently the manager was pressi Here’s where it declined. I had my own financing. I was enroute to literally pick up the check for the purchase. Apparently the manager was pressing for a deposit citing something to the effect of not denying a customer the opportunity to buy or something. I had a signed BOS. None of this was brought up during the test drive and interaction with the sales rep. Eventually, I got to the point of saying, if you don’t want to sell the vehicle to me, you can explain that to Mr. Ray. This pressing to get something out of me, a deposit, really upset me. At this point, the check was in my hand and surely would have taking my business elsewhere. Lastly, a message was sent saying the dealership will make an exception for me and consider the vehicle sold. I cannot begin to tell you how condescending that came off to me. I have the check in my hand and the dealer is given me and exception to spend my own money on a car from them? I was being sold something by sales people not by people putting customers first by not acting like a bunch of cars salesmen looking for the best commission. All this was after most of the sale was made. It was a good vehicle and we liked it and it was a good price. Initial service was great. Trade in offer was terrible but that is the nature of the business based on my research, so didn’t trade in anything. But, this deal was very close to being lost. I would have found another vehicle at any of the many dealerships in our area. Other issue I had was why was a credit application to ally “required” when I had the fund in hand? I would like an answer on that. More
