We did a lot of research on Suburban’s online in our area and decided to go to Ray Chevrolet to look at the 2003 Suburban that they had listed. We stopped and looked at several Suburban’s and Tahoe’s on the way down. We found a couple that we liked and compared them to the one at Ray Chevrolet. The price that they listed was typical of the Suburban’s that we saw. Jay Conway was the main reason that we decided to go with the one at Ray Chevrolet. He and the service department went out of their way to make sure that the used truck that we bought was as close to new condition that they could get it. Jay is very friendly and easy to work with. We are very happy with our purchase and would go back in the future. More
Quick responses, friendly people, and good pricing are great assets to a dealership, but Ray Chevy takes it to another level. I did my homework prior to the visit so I was a pretty easy sale. I called Ray Chevrolet at 2:00 on Thur. to make sure a vehicle was still available. I spoke to several (Jays) including sales manager. They assured me that the 2010 GMC would be there and we set up an app vehicle was still available. I spoke to several (Jays) including sales manager. They assured me that the 2010 GMC would be there and we set up an appointment with Lindsey (internet sales) at 7:30 that evening. We arrived and we were greeted by another Jay, who said" he would help by calling Lindsey" He made a phone call, it ended up being to Jay (sales manager). It was decided that greeter Jay would help us. So instead of taking us to see the vehicle, (which we thought was strange) we were asked about our credit and if we wanted to start credit search. We said" no, how about we see vehicle and talk about price before that". So then he asked about trade-in and we gave him the information. It was starting to get dark so we asked again to see vehicle before it was dark out. Jay said OK and went to find it. 10 min later he came back with Lindsey, He started by saying there was a problem. She then said that the vehicle was off site getting detailed, and that happens when it is new to dealership and they have to wiat for lien to clear and other things. I then said "we'll it looked detailed on the dealership webpage and it been listed here for a while?" Realizing she was caught in a lie she stumbled "Oh wait, I meant it went to the bodyshop that is offsite"" We're sorry can we get you a gift card for gas or to best buy or somthing?" Really??? You just wasted my time, my gas and then lied to us!!!! So be aware and do some research. This 2010 GMC truck might be in the Bodyshop or at detail?? By the way this truck was also for sale at Kimberly dealership in Davenport Iowa in early APR 2013, If you look at the tailgate picture you can still see the dealer sticker..
