So I came here again they worked with me and while I didn't get the SUV I wanted I did get a really nice car and I love it. Hugo, Rupe and everyone there worked really hard to get me into a vehicle that I feel safe in. I don't know how many more ways I can say this but both of my experiences here have been fabulous they have a life long customer and everyone that is looking for a new vehicle this is where I will send them. I can't say my experience with my Xterra, Nissan, or the local dealership was a pleasant one so I was ready to come back to GM. I had originally planned to purchase a vehicle from a dealership much closer to where I live (Janesville, WI) but I knew although the "Red Hot" color was just that, it didn't fit me like the midnight black granite. Ray's was the only one that one in my price range (it even was less than the one I was gonna get and it came with fog lamps, something I did not want to give up!). When I arrived, the place was hopping and it reminded me of another dealership in Rockford I visited. That dealership didn't make me feel it was customer-friendly, passing me off from one person to another like hot potato and I was the baked potato. So I almost left Ray's. I thought, "how can a dealership this busy have my best intentions in mind?" I even called the dealership where the Red Cruze was to see when they close and was going to go there But, .I was soon put at ease and I am so glad with my purchase. Upon my arrival, I met Jay Conway who became my salesperson. He did the best he could with what he had. He made me feel like a valued person despite it being the end of the month. We went for a test drive and he wasn't pushy at all, but made sure I liked the car and answered all questions I may have. I soon met more of the staff as we got further into the deal. The sales manager, Chris Cal assisted us alot on the computer and with the deal, finally working out a payment plan that worked in my budget. The finance people were nice and assisted me greatly, not being pushy like I was expecting. The great thing I liked is Ray's is there before, during, and after the sale. I rather enjoyed they had a "Tech guy" that all he does is set-up and go through the features with you and makes sure you know your car thoroughly prior to leaving, which many dealerships do not, including one I used to work for. They also earned my respect by staying way late and not seeming tired or edgy, wanting me out of there (I didn't leave the dealership until almost 2 hours after closing!) Another great thing is a damage sign-off sheet where we both look at the car top to bottom and if there are any flaws (which there wound up being), Jay made sure to set-up and take care of it. He even gave me his cell number so we could properly communicate any situations. And he has, repeatedly. Jay even made sure a loaner car is available. Coming from an hour away, this is a MUST perk for me and should be for every dealership. This was where Nissan and I part ways as well as many others I've gone to, and also why Ray's not only just earned a sale, but will be earning or has earned the warranty work as well; something I didn't anticipate by buying the car here. To use a phrase from a local dealership in my area, I believe is fitting here- they ride with you every mile. More

It was time to part ways with my Chevy Cobalt due to an accident, and turned to my friend and former employee Dylan Strazzanti to lead me in the right direction. He guided me right to Ed Dembski, informing me he was the best of the best! I had a set budget I was trying to stay around, and Ed tried as best he could to help me out. I had my mind set on a Chevy Cruze, which was a little out of my price range. However, Ed did whatever he could to help lower my monthly payments. He knew how bad I wanted this car! My mom was on the phone with me the whole time and was not coming to agree on this car. Ed patiently waited while I tried to convince my mother for 4 hours that I needed this car. Not once did I feel rushed, forced, and uncomfortable. I had felt bad about wasting all of Eds time all day, but he kept assuring me there was no problem. I have never felt so comfortable around a salesperson. Ray Chevy as a whole took care of a small dent in the car before taking it home, and in the process gave me a loaner for the week. I have never walked into a dealership and be surrounded by so much kindness. It is usually people swarming you with a million questions right away- not here though! I would recommend this dealership, as well as Ed Dembski to everyone! More

I literally had a streak of bad luck this week and was prepared to purchase a cheap used car of craigslist for $1200.00, and had doubts from the get go. In a pinch we decided to give you a call. We didn’t speak directly to you but the lady my wife spoke with on the phone when she called was just FAST in getting our situation turned into a solution. We arrived this time with our daughter and you accommodated us in every way possible. You gave us more than what we asked for and for this reason we walked out of there with another great vehicle (once my tires get replaced that is). It’s absolutely amazing when you can come back to a dealership and remember all the faces you dealt with the first time. Yet another great thing about this dealership. Hopefully this never changes! I base my decision on a purchase of items more than just the price that I'm getting. I'm also looking for customer service. When I first began to look for a vehicle, I researched many different dealers, eliminating one after another that did not match the expectation that I had of the vehicle that I was looking for. I was able to pinpoint to two dealers that I was willing to do business with. Once I was in contact with both of them when I stated that I was interested in a vehicle, I then emailed some very specific questions to each. I'm happy to report that not only was Alec Thatcher the only one to respond to my questions, he was quick to do so. His response showed that he was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and efficient in his response. He took the time to answer each of my bullet points rather than giving me a response to call someone. He was looking out for my best interest. Because of that type of treatment, I went forward with Ray Chevrolet in my purchase. When I arrived at Ray Chevrolet I was greeted by Marissa and introduced to Adam Frandsen. Adam was friendly and courteous to me. When we entered the vehicle that I was looking to purchase, I found that he was knowledgeable about my particular vehicle, highlighting the different areas that I should be aware of. He walked me around and introduced me to the different departments that was involved with my purchase, such as the technicians, service department, and others, always by my side. All in, I was really pleased with everything and my decision to purchase from Ray. If I need a vehicle in the future, they will be one of my top choices for my decision. More
If you're in the business of buying a new or used car, I could not recommend this place more. First of all, there's Chris Kahlmorgan, one of their sales representatives. I spoke to him on the phone before coming in and he seemed genuinely concerned with helping out a broke college student. I was hesitant at first because my experience with dealership salesmen have always have awful, but Chris completely changed my perspective. I walked in hoping to get a used Ford Fusion because I saw in their inventory that it was within my price range. Chris tried to do all he could for me with that car, but also gave me other options as to newer vehicles. We test drove a brand new Chevy Sonic and Chris took the time to explain to me, a newcomer, exactly why it would be cheaper for me to get the new car instead. I didn't feel like I was being taken for a spin or being worked over; everything made sense and he was legitimately concerned with helping me out. But the all-star team at Ray Chevrolet doesn't stop there. Matt did everything in his power to get me a decent interest rate with the bank so that my financing would even be possible. Dan took care of all my state paperwork and explained the ins and outs of my warranty, even getting me a better deal for the full period of my loan! Even the owner's son, little Ray, spent a solid thirty minutes in the vehicle with me, making sure I knew everything about the technical aspects of my new car. All in all, this was the best experience I've ever had buying... ANYTHING. This staff is unbelievably kind, knows exactly what they're doing, and really works FOR the customer. So if you're in the business of buying a new car, go to Ray Chevrolet in Fox Lake. You will NOT be disappointed. More
