Rich was friendly, knowledgeable and helped us to stay in budget. While we waited he had our car detailed, and we were able to watch while the work was being completed. Our son was thrilled to watch his car being so diligently cared for. It looked great when it was done. Great Experience Across the Board I came into Ray Chevrolet with a poorly running Saturn. Check engine light came on that morning and I took it right over. The service department gave I came into Ray Chevrolet with a poorly running Saturn. Check engine light came on that morning and I took it right over. The service department gave me the bad news that significant work was needed on the engine to the tune of several thousand dollars. Not believing them, I took the car to a trusted mechanic and they confirmed the issue and price. After heading back I decided to take a look and see if this was a message to me to get a replacement car. This one was aging and I drive a ton of miles each day. I was introduced to Chris Kahlmorgan in sales. I have to be honest, I have never liked shopping for cars or dealing with car salesmen. I told Chris as much and he promised to shoot straight with me and not do any of the "fluff". I was skeptical at the least. Chris looked at my credit, knew I had a $30,000 budget and listened to my needs (large rear set for 3 young children). He picked out a car that was well below my budget and met all the other criteria. Most sale men I know will try to get you into the most expensive car they can as they get more incentive to do so. Chris did not. He went for a practical car that easily fit in my budget and met all of the other criteria I needed. I had to leave that day and bring the wife over to take a look the next day, with 3 kids in tow. Chris agreed to meet us 30 minutes earlier than his usual start time to meet our scheduling needs. We arrived 30 minutes before the agreed time so we could look over the lot and see what else was out there. We ended up spotting a newer, more appointed car with far few miles. It was definitely higher on the price tag, but I felt it would be worth it, provided I got a good value on my trade in. The wife and I fell in love with the 2014 Impala LT and Chris immediately shifted to getting a better deal on the trade for us. While I did not get as much for the trade as I wanted, they did meet us half way. After the sale, I was put into the usual "Hey, here is more things you can get added onto your car" spiel. I usually ignore these as the value isn't there, however in this case Ray Chevrolet actually put value to these usually worthless add-ons. Full, no non-sense bumper to bumper warranty? Check. Complete inside and outside protection? (See 3 young children and SALT HEAVY ROADS) Check. All for very little considering what I have seen in the past. One other thing that really stood out during all of these sales pitches is how low pressure it all seemed. No forcing, trying to convince annoyances occurred. Just a simple stating of the service and short, easy answers to questions. Delivery of the car was handled very well as well. I have never had a dealership take the time to sit with me in the car and go over it's features and get everything set up (on-star, bluetooth, etc). This one on one service was very welcome as this new car had more technology in it that any car I have owned before. Overall, I ended up interacting with service, sales and parts departments and I have to say I came away very impressed with each group. Everyone was honest, upfront and clear in every interaction I had. When it comes time to replace my other vehicle, Ray Chevrolet and Chris will be my first stop. More

He was able to communicate and negotiate a price for me. Since I live in WI, I had a 2.5 hour drive to pick up the car. I was able to stay in touch through text with a dealer, who was very flexible with my schedule on when I was able to pick up the car. I really appreciated this since I am new to the area and had a difficult time trying to secure a ride. When I arrived I was greeted and helped very quickly. The whole process took about two hours, but that was fairly expected. When I did leave the lot with my new car, a friend ahead of me quickly realized a headlight was out.. We drove back to the dealership, but because it was already after hours my salesman had left. We were quickly helped by another worker who apologized and got us a loaner car to use until the headlight could be replaced the following day. This wouldn't be that big of a deal, but because I live 2.5 hours away, it was very inconvenient and frustrating, The staff was very apologetic and helpful though, which I greatly appreciated. If it wasn't for the burnout headlight the experience would have been fantastic. Overall, my experience with Ray's was great, and I quickly saw why they were ranked so highly in customer experience. I would certainly recommend Ray's to anyone looking to buy a used or new car. I am very please with the value and price of my used car and the amenities that come with it. (certified used, warrently, 3 mos of OnStar/XM) I'm very anxious to go and pick up my car with the new headlight, I just wish I didn't have to make another 5 hr trip! More
