I should have believed the reviews on this site about Rapids Honda in Coon Rapids, MN. I went in this morning and started talking with a sales person. When went inside the Sales Manager, Scott Anderson i Rapids Honda in Coon Rapids, MN. I went in this morning and started talking with a sales person. When went inside the Sales Manager, Scott Anderson involved himself in our conversation. He then took over the sales conversation. He spent most of the time talking down to me and being argumentative. He told me he had the best price and when I presented him with online prices he became very abrasive. I tried to make an offer and he laughed at me. He then said he would go talk to the owner. I have no idea if this is true. He was gone long enough that the sales person even was curious what was taking him so long and went to find him. He then came back and was dismissive and cut off the conversation and acted very unprofessional. I'm confused why he was involved since I was looking at a preowned and that Manager was available to work with us. I was there to buy a car today. Be ready to pay more than they have the car listed or tell you on the phone. The dealer will add on a lot of accessory to increase the price of the car that is not shown in the sale price. The dealers decision to add on items should not be the financial responsibility of the customer. The vehicle price was high, they are not willing to negotiate at all and the customer service was horrible. I'm amazed that the Owner, Dealer Principle, and General Manager allow him to work with customers after all of the complaints on this site. More
I would think twice about bringing your car into this dealership for service. I had them refuse a warranty service and they would not share with me the test they did to deny it. I was originally told dealership for service. I had them refuse a warranty service and they would not share with me the test they did to deny it. I was originally told it was approved and they had to get final approval from the regional Honda representative. I waited 3 weeks with no notice from them. The service advisor would not call me from his office, he would only call me from his personal cell phone while he was outside the office. I requested many times from the service advisor Ron for the service manager Shane to call me. No call. I then called him twice and have left messages on Shane voice mail for him to call me. No call. Very disrespectful. I opened a case with Honda. Honda contacted them and they lied to them. I have the phone calls recorded with service advisor Ron telling me how Shane has lied about this. I plan to forward these to the GM but don't expect him to do anything about this. This has to do with the EV batteries in my car not holding a charge. The government wants us to start buying electric cars and the dealerships and Honda does not stand behind this. More

This is a sales tactic so you will just sign their purchase agreement quickly without reading it carefully. They will try to add charges. If caught, they will then claim it was a "mistake" or it's "already on the vehicle". They'll lie about deductibles, up sell add ONS, fixes and even finance options. You have been warned. I don't need a reply from you either. You'll reap what is sewn. More

June 4th I purchased a new vehicle from Rapids Honda. I insured and refinanced my vehicle only to find out that all of the paperwork was filed with the wrong VIN. From the get go I was made to feel lik I insured and refinanced my vehicle only to find out that all of the paperwork was filed with the wrong VIN. From the get go I was made to feel like this was a me problem. I was told I should of never refinanced so soon, yeah none of your business what I do with my finances. Then they tried to blame my financial institution for not working with them. They wanted them to cancel the check to pay off the car, but it was 16 days after I had purchased the car and the check had already been sent. After I remedied my part with my insurance company and financial institution the dealership still had no idea as what to do. So by this time my temporary tags are not only attached to the wrong vehicle they are expired. The dealership could have cared less and would not issue new temporary tags. July 8th was when I finally received my license plates registered to the correct VIN. I really don't know how something like this could happen, but I guess mistakes do happen, but this was a whopper and should have been remedied in a much expeditious way. Even when I went in to get my plates I was told my financial institution was to blame because they wouldn't work with them. WTH, my financial institution had nothing to do with this. This by far has been the worst experience I have had making a big purchase. I know one place I will never recommend to anyone and I would never go back there. The whole experience was so troubling on so many levels. I actually had a mild heart attack 7 days after this fiasco. Maybe I should send them all of my co-pay bills. More
