I wanted to thank Lance for making sure my car was looked at and repaired as necessary. This was a process for me with numerous trips for same issue needless to say I was not happy. After calls and messages were left for a manager who didn't return them, I finally got a call from Roy Lacey who put me in touch with Lance and Shawn and my vehicle was repaired. I had an amazing experience with my initial purchase and I love the car I bought and the service I most recently received was great. I will come back to Rapids Honda for my next vehicle purchase. I WILL STILL RECOMMEND TO OTHERS, BUT I WILL URGE THEM TO PURCHASE NEW SINCE USED CAR MANAGER ISN'T EASY TO WORK WITH. More
Honest evaluations/ratings are important, even if they aren't "perfect". I'm a brand new customer to Rapids Honda, and a first time buyer of a Honda vehicle (other than a motorcycle). I had already decide aren't "perfect". I'm a brand new customer to Rapids Honda, and a first time buyer of a Honda vehicle (other than a motorcycle). I had already decided on purchasing a Honda Insight Hybrid, but hadn't settled on a dealership. Why Honda Rapids? Primarily because of their Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. I tend to keep a vehicle for a long time, and warranty coverage is very important for me. The only reason I'm not giving a 5-star rating is due to several issues I experienced, but which all were resolved. No one is perfect, and no business is perfect. Striving to be perfect is admirable, and in my view, Rapids Honda strives for that perfection. More
My experience and satisfaction with Sara was COMPLETELY "OVER THE TOP" SATISFIED! She was a pleasure to work with! Very detailed, followed up on questions, returned calls quickly! Discovered my ne "OVER THE TOP" SATISFIED! She was a pleasure to work with! Very detailed, followed up on questions, returned calls quickly! Discovered my needs and sold me the right product. Even gave me helpful hints on how to use my remote start. Mentioned that I may want to remove my seat covers to get the optimum performance out of my air bags should they ever go off. Very very professional! I was not as excited about my steering column not being put together properly by the vendor but Sara arranged for it to be fixed quickly and had a rental ready just in case. I love my new remote starter! 💜 More
Myles Van Der Boom, go look for this guy he will get you set up right. I came in knowing what I wanted, and he was able to get it sorted out for the right numbers and within a couple hours I was driving hom set up right. Oh yeah and Kevin, from Finance, that dude stayed late and made sure we hammered through the paperwork to get things done, both Myles and Kevin stayed until everything was sorted and I had already left the lot. I must first point out that I did in fact find a vehicle at Rapids Honda, however mostly because I knew ahead of time it was the car for me (I had previously owned the exact same car). And I must add the detailing department did a great job making the vehicle look brand new. At first the experience was great. The car was in the condition it was advertised and it drove well. Myles was very friendly and personable. It was a breath of fresh air To feel like the salesman was actually listening to my husband and I and not just treating us like a compensation check. That feeling quickly dwindled as we continued on to working out the details of purchasing the vehicle. My husband and I explained from the beginning that our plan was to only finance the vehicle for a very short time and that we would ultimately be paying off the vehicle in a couple months. Because of that we only cared about the final pricing and interest rate. Throughout the process we were never given the final cost of the vehicle, only the monthly rate with and without the add ons and extra warranties. We were asked multiple times what we would like the monthly rate to be and continued to explain that this had no driving force in what we did because we weren’t going to have it financed for long. Again we only cared about the final cost and the interest rate, none of which Myles could provide us with. We spent at least an hour going back and forth with Myles about not wanting any add ons/extra warranties. Explanations of some of the add ons were very vague and unknown, however we walked in knowing we wouldn’t get any of these so the subpar sales pitch really didn’t make a difference to us. It was very unsettling to my husband and I that we were responsible for paying $800 for the protection seal they put on their cars to protect them while on their lot. This was not advertised in the price of the vehicle so we felt very cheated when we were told there was nothing they could do about it because it was already applied to the vehicle. It was getting very late and honestly my husband and I were so tired and hungry that we just wanted to leave with the car, so we didn’t press it much more. Last step was to meet with the financial women to finalize paperwork. She told us she had a rough day and was looking forward to getting us out the door so she could go home. She was very disinterested through the process and almost frustrated when we explained we didn’t want any extended warranties. My husband and I are very optimistic people so we tried to lighten the mood by joking and making light conversation. We FINIALLY got to see the final number of the vehicle cost after signing every other document. This was literally the last or second to last document we got to see. We were then told we could have put $3000 on our credit card but the cashier left so we didn’t get the option. We wrote the check and left, happy with the vehicle but disappointed in the service provided by Rapids Honda. To top off the poor experience with Rapid Honda, during our initial review of the vehicle the back windshield wiper fell off randomly. It wasn’t even touched. Rapids Honda agreed to fix it at no cost to us but the service department was gone for the day so I would need to come in another time to get the replacement. I was told to expect a call the following Monday to set up an appointment. The following monday evening I called Rapids Honda because I hadn’t heard from them. The gal on the phone was very nice and we set up an appointment for Thursday oct 15th. I live pretty far from Coon Rapids so I planned my day around getting this window wiper replacement. I arrived at Rapids Honda and was told the replacement is not scheduled to be in until Friday the 16th... No call was ever made to notify me. I was very frustrated that I wasted my evening driving to Coon Rapids when the part wasn’t even there. The woman apologized for the lack of communication and we rescheduled an appointment for oct 27th, let’s pray there are no issues with that. Lastly, something that really was surprising is I got a voicemail saying they need a 5 star review. I do not believe in just giving 5 star reviews when they are far from deserved. Feels very dishonest. All in all, there is a certain level of professionalism you expect when you are about to lay down thousands of dollars on a vehicle. That professionalism is not something I found at Rapid Honda and if the vehicle was not the exact one I was looking for I would havemade a purchase otherwise. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Rapid Honda to any friends or family. Edit: After writing this review someone from Rapids Honda reached out to make the experience better (I believe in second chances) I contacted them directly as instructed a week+ ago and have yet to hear anything back. Again, another reason I will not be returning to Rapids Honda. Felling very much like a paycheck to those at Rapids Honda and not a valued costumer. More
