This is heartbreaking to say the least. Growing up, my family were all about their Hondas. So naturally, I become a loyal Honda guy myself when I went into the car market at 18 years old wh Growing up, my family were all about their Hondas. So naturally, I become a loyal Honda guy myself when I went into the car market at 18 years old when I bought my first brand new Civic Sedan. Up to date, 3 of 4 of my brand new cars were Honda. And the only reason why I didn't make it 4 of 4 was because of a Honda warranty issue and transmission failure with my Honda car. At that time, I lost faith in the quality of Hondas. Took me years to finally give Honda one more shot because I really enjoy my Hondas when I owned them. So I got a manual Civic SI. My dream car as a kid. Its been a great car BUT the clutch had a problem at 18k miles....now at 75k miles I'm expected to fork out a near $4k to fix the problem. Ok. Fine. BUT how do I know Im not going to have the same problem at 90? 120k miles? So I pay $4k in repairs on average every 20-30k miles? This is not what I signed up for. Honda corporate is going to do nothing so I'm left with this. Going to trade my Honda in and get a Toyota GR 86. I don't intend to ever buy Honda again as this last experience has made me lose absolute confidence in the quality and overall experience with Honda. I'd be an absolute idiot to try them again as failing me 2 times with 2 different cars is all ai can stomach in a lifetime from a car manufacturer. Before this experience, you couldn't convince me to buy anything but Honda. Sadly, the only thing that convinced me to buy another brand was none other than Honda itself. I will take my luck and business to Toyota this weekend. Its worth spending the extra few thousand on and saving all the headaches. R.I.P. to what was a great brand. Sincerely yours truly, Former Loyal Honda Enthusiast 🥲 More
BUYER BEWARE As mentioned in many other reviews, Rapids Honda is running a Bait-and-Switch scheme and I just experienced it yesterday! :( My wife and I were purchasing a 2024 Honda Odyssey Elite Rapids Honda is running a Bait-and-Switch scheme and I just experienced it yesterday! :( My wife and I were purchasing a 2024 Honda Odyssey Elite and we agreed to purchase it based on the sticker price – you know, the price listed online, in persona and the price that is generally accepted in the United States of America as being the ACTUAL price of the item… It wasn’t until we were signing the final documents that I noticed the final purchase price being multiple thousands of dollars more than the sticker price. Tax and title aside, there were thousands of dollars of unaccounted for funds. When I inquired as to the discrepancy, my sales rep Bobby indicated that they were comprised of a bunch of upgrades/addons that he had done me the courtesy of adding for me. I’m talking things like Auto Butler for $799, Diamond Fusion for $299, Pro Pack for $599, and many others… nickeling and diming me to death. The purchase price form was listed in a very shady way where they did confirm the vehicle price, then in small print they listed these accessories and only at the bottom they broke out the monthly cost. They never even presented the updated sub-total to quickly spot the scam. I knew what the monthly amount was supposed to be, which made it stand out. I quickly told him that I didn’t want any of these upgrades, so he crossed out some things and said he’d be right back with an update. Instead of 7 accessories, he came back with 3 even though I told him I wanted none! I started to get a bit more upset here and confirmed AGAIN, I wanted no accessories, so he made me initial again and went to re-print it. So, he came back this time with 2 accessories, the Auto Butler and Diamond Fusion ($1,100). I told him emphatically that I wanted NO accessories and he said, “Well these are required because we already performed these on the vehicle.” My face must have turned red in this moment as I got quite upset… I told him that it was never indicated in the purchase price of the vehicle and that this was very unethical and shady business practices. He then said, “We don’t mention it up front so we can get you a low sticker price … this is just the way we do business.” Some time passed as we looked at other financial documents… finally, another more experienced sales rep named “H” came over to finalize the documents. I was very clear with him about my feelings on the sales tactic of forcing the customer to purchase pre-applied accessories that were never listed in the purchase price. He awkwardly left to speak to someone about it and came back and removed the $1,100 fees. It needs to be made known that this standalone practice (which has only been around for 4 years) is conducting these schemes. Tl;dr – Rapids Honda advertises a low sticker price and then in small print, they have thousands of dollars in accessories that they try to force you to buy, and they even pre-apply some of them and promote the accessories as required. NONE of this is reflected in the purchase price. --- Side note: it took a total of four hours to finalize all documents. I get the feeling that they cause intentional delays to wear the customer down and make them just want to sign things without thinking… I’ve purchased 15 cars in my lifetime and have never had it take more than 1 hour to get paperwork finalized. 4 hours is ludicrous! I will never buy from Rapids Honda every again and will tell everyone I know about their poor business practices. And to management of Rapids Honda, before you reply to this post with a “We’re sorry about your experience. Please call us at XXX-XXX-XXXX and we would like to make it right.”, you have my phone #. Call ME if you want to make this right. More
After having chosen a Honda dealership over an independent shop I would not suggest going here. I am very disappointed with the service we received from Rapids Honda. We had stopped in for a quo independent shop I would not suggest going here. I am very disappointed with the service we received from Rapids Honda. We had stopped in for a quote and dropped off the car for its scheduled repair but were called the next day to pick up the car as they could not repair it (as needed) at that time. Then after the 2nd appointment I gave the car cursory visual inspection and found the parts listed on the quote were not installed! We were never notified of the missing part(s). The cost of the service was for (or very close to) the amount of the quote however ,the part(s) missing were quite substantial and the bill should have been quite a bit less! When this was brought to the attention of the Body Shop Manager we were told he thought we would rather have the car back than have the all the work done! Since they did not tell us of the missing parts before I noticed them AND because the cost of the repair met, or was near the quote I believe this was nothing more than dishonesty and possibly insurance fraud. I am contacting my insurance company to follow up as well. PS - I couldn’t "post" this review with zero stars so I had to select one, which they definitely don't deserve. More

He chose to buy a 12 year old truck and they pressured him into paint protection, glass sealant & a theft deterrent totalling $1285.00 extra even after saying no to all the add-ons multiple times. I reached out via a phone call to Sarina and she said they "suggest" add-ons to all customers . I reached out via email to Katie Young, General sales manager and never received a reply. It's obvious their bottom line is the only concern, their customer service is the worst! More

Run, don’t walk away, far, far away. They continued to assert I paid for installation that occurred prior to the sale. The purchase agreement says “3 year”… 3 yrs of what??? Service! That I said I didn’t want. - The online purchase price listed on Cars.com was $21,561. My purchase agreement has the price listed at $21,999. In total my $21,561 purchase was billed to me for $26,5000. - I was told I was getting the full amount I asked for my trade of $13,5000. They instead stole my down payment to cover $2,000 of my load and only gave me $11,500 for my trade. Sales person acknowledged I was adamant about selling my car at that price and said I would come back once I found a place willing to give it to me, couldn’t explain why I miraculously signed a paper saying otherwise. Maybe because you lied about what the paper said? - Was told for majority of the sales process I would get powertrain warranty, it was even advertised online with the posting. 2 minutes to the end of the deal he changes tune and now no warranty. - Two rear seat belts are broken and I was given a promissory note stating they would fix them. I have now been told they were "ordered today" 3 different times. - Two weeks after purchasing the car I returned to the dealership to discuss the above issues with my purchase agreement. I asked for my trade in back, they stated it was already sold. -Miraculously the same day I visited the dealer another $2,000 went missing from my bank account. They charged me twice 2 wks apart for my down payment. - 2 days after being told my trade in had already sold I was charged my monthly car note for it. Meaning they didn't have the title work done yet, but some how already sold it? - I told them I had financing already secured; they ran my credit anyway. - They had to come to my house to get their copy of the purchase agreement. They accidentally sent it home with me and that is why none of my paperwork was completed for 2 wks. Sloppy work at every turn. - Overall terrible experience, poor customer service, no one answers their phone, no calls back from management as I was told I would be getting, but they will gladly take $4,000 out of your bank account with no purchase agreement on file! a minute agoNEW-Edit Delete Very dishonest dealer. They post discounted new vehicle pricing on their webpage and on sites like CarFax and CarSoup to lure you into their dealership. They state that var They post discounted new vehicle pricing on their webpage and on sites like CarFax and CarSoup to lure you into their dealership. They state that various services are "complimentary" on their webpages: "LIFETIME POWERTRAIN WARRANTY - THREE YEARS COMPLIMENTARY MAINTENANCE - LIFETIME CAR WASHES 1st of 10 applications of the Auto Butler exterior protection & Diamon Fusion windshield enhancement, Lojack theft and recovery hardware system, and Honda all-season pro pack". In actuality when you visit the dealer you find out that there are no real dealer discounts and that they add THOUSANDS of dollars of unwanted dealer added options, even to "In Transit" vehicles that have not arrived on their lot yet. They do this to "Honda Certified" used vehicles on their lot also, many of which were already sold once by them with these options originally. They tell you that these unwanted options are "required and already on the vehicles". Do what I did, walk out the door and buy your brand new 2024 Honda at another honest dealer that acually gives you the advertised discount off MSRP (almost $2000 in my case) and does not force or pressure you to add $$$$ of useless overpriced unwanted dealer added options (extra big profit to the dealer) to an already expensive vehicle.
