1 stop shopping! Hubby and I had 3 cars to look at this AM. Started at Gerry Wood Kia, where we were greeted by our salesperson, Megan Burden. We looked at the fav of Hubby and I had 3 cars to look at this AM. Started at Gerry Wood Kia, where we were greeted by our salesperson, Megan Burden. We looked at the fav of the three and drove off the lot with a new Kia Sportage SX. There was no need to pursue the other two cars. Megan set up the sale very professionally and presented the car sharing details, perks and offering assistance throughout the purchase experience. She actually made buying a car enjoyable. Gerry Wood did well hiring Megan. She focused in on the primary driver's reaction and worked out a fair purchase price for our family. Kudos Megan...you will go far with your professionalism and personal skills. Thank you! More

I have a high level of respect for the car sales tr My wife and I are in the market for an 8 passenger van and went to Gerry Wood to conduct business. I have a high level of respect for the car sales trade because I done it for a little over a year and enjoyed it WITH KIA. I came from a high volume dealer and sold a lot of cars for them. During this time I learned a lot about how important it is to put the customer first no matter what challenges surface, so I learned really quick that there are dealers out there like Gerry Wood Kia that do not uphold the same standard. To make this review shorter I'll just cut right into the meat of how poor the service here was. Owen...our professional sales representative took a personal call while speaking with us from someone asking him what he was doing later that night and this was something I would had been fired for at the dealer I came from if caught. The manager never greeted us once that night. We drove an hour to get there and I lost wages having to leave my job early to arrive with enough time to do business and my wife and I had to arrange a baby sitter as well. Apparently nothing could be finalized the first night so they sent us home in the van and no follow up was made from Owen with us after this night. We made arrangements to travel there the next night and when we showed up in front of the show room driving there van and not one person greeted us or even acknowledged us for 45 minutes. Our sales rep (Owen) was with other customers and finally we were sent out the door again with their van. We made arrangements to go a third night and when we arrived the sales manager (Josh) happened to see us walk in the door and had to ask another sales rep to explain to us where the customer lounge was and I explained to him how VERY familiar I was with the waiting area. We also noticed that Owen was not there because it was his day off and never even informed us of this. Finally the sales manager comes out to tell us how sorry he is about the inconvenience. The sales manager (Josh) was not even aware that his van was gone an additional night or that there was even a trade involved in the deal and I was floored by this. My wife and I were given the old bypass treatment and small talk in the finance office just as a deflation method in attempts to settle the tension because of the runaround we received. Josh had no knowledge of my vehicle trade being on his property, our sales rep (Owen) left the key to my car (trade in) left insecure in a file cabinet by his desk, Owen extended a permit for us to leave the second night and Josh (sales manager) was completely unaware of this. The deal we were shooting for obviously didn't work out but I'm not upset about us not leaving with a van because we will by one very soon....im upset because of the lack of communication and professionalism within this dealership. I notice these things simply because I came from a Kia dealer that has 7 presidents awards and had superior customer service. Sales staff were held to a much higher standard and we followed up with our customers no matter what the circumstance was and the management knew what was going on. Gerry Wood threw a $25 gas card at us and basically said have a good day. The next day I had to call and ask for the GM witch I never met while there and he called back and I asked him (Mr. Lovelace) what is the most important thing of the day at a dealership? I had to fill in the blank for him by saying.....THE CUSTOMER THAT JUST WALKED IN THE DOOR. So of course he was unaware of the situation and was apologetic. Still no call from Owen. Then I call back and left a message for KJ (FINANCE MANAGER) to call me back and he calls my wife instead. I never asked him to call my wife. I asked that he call me. Believe it or not I've left out a lot of detail within this review and some of which you can probably read in other reviews. There is a Kia dealer in Winston Salem NC on Link Rd.....go there for much better service. I just wish they had the van we wanted in stock and I would regret chancing Gerry Wood with my business and will not go back if they wanted to give me a van. More
