Totally the opposite of what I was expecting I stopped by Gerry Wood Kia today to test drive a Stinger GT2. I had an unexpectedly fantastic experience. This review is not going to discuss the car I stopped by Gerry Wood Kia today to test drive a Stinger GT2. I had an unexpectedly fantastic experience. This review is not going to discuss the car, just the dealership experience. I made an appointment earlier in the week to meet Obie Dancy today at 3:00 PM. All of the communication setting up the appointment with Candi was professional, efficient and not at all pushy. Obie was waiting for me at the door when I arrived. I recognized him from working with him previously when we worked for a mobile carrier. He gave great customer service then and did the same now. There were very few questions prior to the test drive which was refreshing. Obie gave me a VERY thorough "tour" of the vehicle. He went over all kinds of features and functions. He had very clearly been to an extensive training on the vehicle and payed attention. The Sales Manager Mike came over and introduced himself and could not have been more pleasant. We chatted for a bit and talked about the car. Super nice guy. They put a tag on the car, handed me the keys and said be back in an hour. FANTASTIC. So many test drives are with the salesman riding shotgun, talking the whole time as opposed to letting you study the car you are driving and the test drive lasts five minutes. Not the case at Gerry Wood. I have not yet decided if I am going to buy this car. I REALLY wanted the "all around" camera and an interior/exterior color combination that is not available at this time. But if I do buy, I will definitely go back and see Obie and Mike. Great guys. Great dealership! More
