First time dealership buyer Simply put, I was very nervous about going to a dealership. Lee was very cool and laid back and allowed me to make me own decision. No pressure. As Simply put, I was very nervous about going to a dealership. Lee was very cool and laid back and allowed me to make me own decision. No pressure. As a control-freak, that is always nice. I found a couple of vehicles I like and test drove one of them. Overall, it was a very inviting environment for my type of personality. They also were very cool with the fact I was doing my own research via my phone the whole time. They wanted to make sure that I got the vehicle I was most comfortable with. More
Randy & The Team Worked With Me When No One Else Would My experience with this car dealership has been nothing but wonderful. Prior to going to Randy Curnow Buick GMC, I was turned down more than 3 times b My experience with this car dealership has been nothing but wonderful. Prior to going to Randy Curnow Buick GMC, I was turned down more than 3 times because my credit isn't that great. I struggled at first coming up with my down payment, but my sales woman (Debra Essex) never gave up on me! She persevered with me!!! Though I gave up on the process as a whole thinking that I'd never get approved for a car, Debra Essex notified me with a wonderful deal I couldn't resist. I'M FOREVER GRATEFUL!! More

Not interested in selling cars Drove to this dealership and arrived about 15 min prior to closing specifically to look at a Camaro they had listed for sale. It was a 45 min commute Drove to this dealership and arrived about 15 min prior to closing specifically to look at a Camaro they had listed for sale. It was a 45 min commute because of rush hour traffic on a Friday evening. A salesman came out and told us everything was locked up and asked us to come back tomorrow, wouldn't even offer to unlock the car to look inside. I'm not making the drive again- there are other places who are interested in selling cars. Perhaps there was another salesman that would have been interested in my business? I'll take my business elsewhere...Randy might like to know his guys aren't putting in the effort to reduce his inventory. More

The Only Way to GO! I knew what I wanted for my next vehicle, but there were none for sale in the Portland metro area. New or pre-owned, I accepted that my shopping for I knew what I wanted for my next vehicle, but there were none for sale in the Portland metro area. New or pre-owned, I accepted that my shopping for a CAR of all things—a major purchase sight unseen, no test drive—would have to be done, for the first time-- completely ON-LINE. I found 4 acceptable vehicles around the country: The dealer in Palm Springs was inflexible and unreasonable. In Puyallup WA, I found either very honest screw-ups, or the smoothest, most skillful used car salesman trickery ever. And in Ohio, all the instant service you could ask for… as long as you paid the full high price they asked for. Like the other three, I found my new car advertised on ebay, and having been a seller for 15 years, ebay has always assured me to be a safe place to shop for anything, so why not a car? I didn’t buy it through the ebay system, but my low (fair) offer on an unsold vehicle at least identified me as a serious buyer and initiated contact from the dealership. From the very first call from Craig Martin at Randy Curnow in Kansas City, I knew I would likely regret not being able to both start and end this transaction with a handshake. His language and tone were not that of a car salesman, rather of a partner in my search. Michael Ball got involved, and between the two men covering days off during our nearly 2-week “negotiation” and financing application process, we reached mutually acceptable terms. I stayed professional in all communication; they stayed professional at all times, and that’s the key, I think, to such a pleasant transaction. It’s not all up to the salesman to be likeable and trustworthy. All documents were delivered promptly and properly but before I mailed them back, signed, with the big check, I made one request: that Michael be my eyes for a test dive and walk-through the vehicle. That’s how much I trusted him. His word would be good enough for me and I was very satisfied with his real-time report on the phone. The professionals at Randy Curnow have relationships you don’t, so don’t even think there is any savings in arranging your own shipping. This took longer than expected, however, and my faith was tested! To be honest, I had moments of virtual sweat, “has the check been cashed… does this vehicle really exist… is there really a dealership…” ? I googled them to confirm at least the address and physical existence of the dealership and looked for reviews… I found only positive reassurance that this could not possibly be a scam, and soon after, Michael calls with news that it’s finally on the truck. …ok… faith returning… but it was really the voice of the truck DRIVER I needed to hear! The driver called a day away and delivery arrangements were set. The truck driver was completely professional as well! (I know it’s unfair to note this as a surprise, but it was just icing on the cake of my overall impression of this experience.) Again, the shipper is someone I trusted the dealership to choose. Having financed the out-of-state vehicle, registration in Oregon was going to be a little tricky without a title in-hand. Our DMV suggested I contact the dealership to ask what they did with the title and prepared me for needing cooperation from the finance company to provide the paperwork I needed. That wasn’t sounding easy at all, but I called the dealership and left a message on the day before the vehicle reached Portland. When the vehicle rolled off the trailer, waiting right there on the console for me was an envelope with EVERY document I needed. Title was transferred flawlessly within an hour. The vehicle was shipped spotless inside, every detail of its condition exactly as I expected, plus a full tank of gas – every possible service that would have been provided had I purchased it in person. The final numbers were even slightly less than I had agreed. So I’m telling you—this is the way to go! Be patient, stay professional, and have faith in the process. I would absolutely recommend buying a vehicle on-line from Randy Curnow Buick GMC. There is no longer a need to feel manipulated or trapped. Not only because these men feel like friends from the first introduction, but because a high pressure sales environment simply cannot be created. You’re at home or in your office! You can only feel safe and empowered. What a nice change. The Randy Curnow team deserves your confidence and trust. Give it to them at the beginning—they’ll have earned it at the end. Their product is cars. Their business is customer service. Gary Newton, President PEERLESS Estate Sales Portland, OR More
