Outstanding buying experience at Ramsey Subaru My wife and I visited and/or talked to five different Subaru dealerships when looking to buy an Ascent. Two were in Omaha (where we live), two in Colo My wife and I visited and/or talked to five different Subaru dealerships when looking to buy an Ascent. Two were in Omaha (where we live), two in Colorado (where there are lots of dealers that are quite competitive), and, of course, Ramsey Subaru in Des Moines, which we visited on Mother's Day weekend when my wife and I did a weekend getaway. We spent quite a bit of time with Brandon Williams, who knew absolutely everything there is to know about the Ascent. He rode with us on an extended test drive and explained all of the key features in real time. We then sat down and talked trim levels, options, general pricing, etc., but never even asked our names or whether he could close the deal that day, which is good, because we weren't ready to buy yet. Almost three months later, we were ready to order a 2020 Ascent with our exact specs. After sending an email out to all five dealers with our desired configuration, Brandon came back the quickest, with a straight forward offer at the best price compared to the others that somehow took a simple request for a price on a specific configuration and made it complicated to the point that I had to create an Excel spreadsheet to figure it all out. In the end, we got our new 2020 Ascent from Ramsey Subaru and it was worth the drive. Brandon made sure everything was ready to go on the Saturday we picked it up, and we breezed through the finance office, but did get the extended warranty because of the technology built into the vehicle. Brandon then spent almost an hour getting us set up and acquainted with all of the features of the vehicle before leaving the dealership. My wife drove all the way home, but she was comfortable knowing where all the switches and controls were as she hit lots of rain and we talked a couple of times using her cellphone through the hands-free setup. The bottom line here is that I am over 60 years old and have bought cars since I was a teenager. I also have met lots of salespeople through lots of dealerships over the years, and have been a repeat buyer with many, however, Brandon and Ramsey Subaru have earned top honors by the way this whole purchase played out, so yes, I highly recommend Brandon and Ramsey Subaru, and you should give them the opportunity to see what they can do for you... Didn't have the parts for the appointment I scheduled I scheduled an appointment and verified that they had the parts at the dealership over a week in advance of the appointment. When I came in to have the parts replaced, I waited around for 40 minutes and one of the service representatives came over after that time had elapsed and explained they didn't actually have the parts. It was a waste of my morning and a definite lack of service. I will have to go back AGAIN when they actually have the parts at the dealership. More
