Buying a new vehicle wasn't at the top of my "Bucket List". So much for planning. Paul Moser had been highly recommended by a couple of friends, and I found Paul to be the perfect blend of professional with a wonderful sense of humor to take that edge down several notches. No pressure, but a great presentation of Subaru's offerings. I've owned the new Forester less than 24 hours, and have been reading and re-reading sections of the manuals that I need to know. The manuals are very well-written (librarian talking here), and my confidence grows every time I head out of the garage. Anyone in the market for a new set of wheels definitely needs to stop at Ramsey Subaru. They're easy to find. More

My experience with Ramsey Subaru of Des Moines was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. On December 13, 2024, I purchased a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Premium from Ramsey Subaru of Des Moines. Br extremely disappointing and unprofessional. On December 13, 2024, I purchased a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Premium from Ramsey Subaru of Des Moines. Bryan Fisher was the salesperson who assisted us, and initially, he was very polite and helpful. We discussed the car and agreed on an "out-the-door" (OTD) price. However, after completing all the paperwork, Ramsey increased the final amount by $2,000 without informing us. We only discovered this while signing the final documents in the finance department. When we pointed out that we had agreed on the OTD price and refused to sign, Eden Dearden, the business manager, became very angry with us. Prior to this, we had specifically asked Bryan about the price, and he assured us that the OTD price would remain unchanged. When we later raised the issue about the price increase, Bryan simply said, "I can't say anything, sorry." At that point, we had no choice but to proceed and sign the documents, as we had already waited a long time for the paperwork to be processed. Additionally, as per dealership guidelines, the car's fuel tank should have been full, but it wasn’t. Furthermore, while signing the documents, it was stated that the car had only been driven 6 miles. Trusting this, we did not verify the mileage. However, after completing the payment and getting into the car, I noticed that the odometer showed it had already been driven 55 miles, and the fuel tank was not full. The next day, I called Bryan, who explained that it was a test-drive car, which was the reason for the higher mileage. If it was a test-drive car, why did he fail to disclose this upfront? This experience with Ramsey Subaru of Des Moines was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I will not recommend anyone buy a car from them. I was happy with the experience I had with Toyota and will return to them in the future. I now understand why people trust brands like Toyota and Honda. More
