I bought a used car from them years ago, and it was a good experience. I returned to try to order an Odyssey. Their asking price was higher than anywhere else in the state. $4500 over msrp. I get paying good experience. I returned to try to order an Odyssey. Their asking price was higher than anywhere else in the state. $4500 over msrp. I get paying msrp or a bit of mandatory accessories in this environment, but it was shocking to have my hometown dealer be the worst one. Even though I wanted to order in advance as a repeat customer. Odysseys aren't that rare or in high demand. More

Do not take your car here for service. They try to take advantage of people that don’t know any better about cars and will pay whatever it is that they feel like quoting you for. The worst experience with advantage of people that don’t know any better about cars and will pay whatever it is that they feel like quoting you for. The worst experience with a service department I have ever had at a dealership. I will not be taking my car back to this service department ever again. I brought my car in for an oil change on 9/28, the car had no issues and ran smooth/quiet when I brought it in. I have a friend that is a mechanic that I go to for regular maintenance but since they are in Everett, I come to Honda of Sumner for oil changes. After my oil change, I was told that my car needed “immediate attention” and was given an inspection report of $3500 in repairs. I declined services there. We were given details of the suggestions and the comments of the “inspection” stated that the only reason these things needed attention is because Honda of Sumner does not have a record of the work being done in their shop, not that there was actually a problem during inspection. That day and days following, we received several pushy voicemails from Brandon claiming that these repairs were urgent and we needed to be scheduled in the next couple days. The day after I brought my car in for an oil change, a growling noise started coming from the front of my car. When my regular mechanic came to look at the car (who was previously a long-time technician at a Honda dealership), he found that only 2 of the 9 things that Honda of Sumner claimed I needed required repair or replacement. He repaired those 2 things and let me know that the growling sound I was hearing was a wheel bearing that needed to be replaced. He did not have the press to do this and therefore I needed to go to Honda of Sumner to get this done and that it should cost between $400-$600 which includes the part ($120) and labor (2.5 hours). I found it interesting that this wheel bearing was not on the laundry list of repairs from my 9/28 multi point inspection and that it only started the day after I got my oil change at Honda of Sumner. I brought my car back in to Honda of Sumner on 10/12 and was helped by Giovonni. I told him exactly what needed to be fixed, one of the front wheel bearings. I took a service loaner since I knew the work would need to be done and it would either take all day or next day. (Side note: They charge a $15 cleaning fee on their service loaners and this car was clearly not cleaned before renting it back out. My fiancé owns a detail shop and this car was disgusting). Giovonni called me and let me know that diagnostic was performed and quoted me $1300 to replace the right front wheel bearing. I let him know that I was going to get quotes from other places and I did not want them to start work on my car or order parts yet. I called four other Honda dealerships nearby and was quoted between $540-$580 from all of them, I also called Greg’s Japanese Auto which quoted me $430. Giovonni asked for the quote amounts and I provided them. I was then reached out to by Brandon, the service supervisor, who claimed he “just saw this work order on Giovonni’s desk” and wanted to look into it. He asked what price they would need to come down to in order for me to get the work done there instead of taking my car elsewhere. I told him that I expect to be able to pay what I was quoted from all the other Honda dealerships. He kept saying that he was doing me a one-off favor and could come down to $710 because he didn’t want me to take the car somewhere else. He then proceeded to list off all the services I’ve received there over the years and noted that I usually only do oil changes then sarcastically said “Oh wait! Looks like we did transmission fluid once!”. He began talking about building a relationship of trust with me, which was laughable considering I was originally given a quote for 2.5x more than any other dealership or repair shop. I went to pick up my car because I did not trust that this service center would take proper care of my car. When I went in, I was charged $200 for a diagnostic fee even though I told them exactly what was wrong when I dropped off the car. The comments on the invoice actually state “customer suspects front wheel bearing” and “verified customer complaint”. When I commented on this $200 fee to Brandon, he said this is charged to discourage people from getting diagnostics done at the dealership and then taking their car to get fixed elsewhere. I felt this diagnostic fee was extremely high so I called the other Honda dealerships and asked what their typical diagnostic fee is - they all said around $75. Honda of Sumner is also charging almost 3x more just to diagnosis the problem. When I asked for a print out of the quote from Honda of Sumner, my question kept being avoided. I wanted to see on paper how they came to their original $1300 quote. Given that the part is $120 and diagnostic fee is $200, they were going to charge almost $500 per hour of labor. Giovonni told me that he only had the work order on his computer, I asked if he could print that out for me. He only offered to write down the part name and number. I asked again for a copy of the full quote/invoice with parts and labor charges listed, and he acted like he didn’t know what I wanted. I decided to eat my $200 loss and this wasn’t worth causing a scene over. I had planned to trade in my car soon and will definitely not be returning to your dealership. More

Schedule an oil/filter change along with a Multi-Point inspection of my vehicle prior to a long distance trip to Montana. Oil/filter change was routine, but the Multi-Point inspection found a leak at the inspection of my vehicle prior to a long distance trip to Montana. Oil/filter change was routine, but the Multi-Point inspection found a leak at the timing chain inspection cover. After checking my extended maintenance warranty plan and parts required, the Service Writer Isabel Nesmith-Waltz scheduled and completed the repair in just 3 hours. I was furnished with a nice clean loaner vehicle until my car was ready for pick-up. Friendly professional staff at Honda of Sumner is where I take my CRV, my wife’s CRV and our granddaughter’s CRV. If I could rate less than one star, I would.I’m from If I could rate less than one star, I would. I’m from out of state, and I found a vehicle I was interested in via auto trader. I called the dealer If I could rate less than one star, I would. I’m from out of state, and I found a vehicle I was interested in via auto trader. I called the dealership and spoke with a salesman, Sam. Sam told me he just received the vehicle on trade and it hadn’t gone into inspection or detail yet. Sam pushed me into making an offer on the car, which was fine, assuming it all checked out. We agreed on a price, depending on what they did. Sam stated I could purchase the car for $8,000.00 if they didn’t have to do anything to it during the inspection, he stated it would then cost $8,500.00 if they needed to make any small repairs. Keep in mind, this was after he spoke with his managers Stanley and Carlos. Here’s where the ridiculousness starts. Sam told me later that evening they couldn’t actually sell the car for those prices until after the inspection happened, because they didn’t want to agree to a price without doing the inspection first. Which I understand. That’s perfectly reasonable. Then Sam went off the radar for a couple days. Sam then called me back and left me a message saying I should call him, “he had great news.” I called Sam back and we talked about the two different prices. He wouldn’t lock down either price. Later that day, he re-contacted me and told me they actually raised the price! They now won’t take less than $9,000.00 for the exact same car. Keep in mind, the conversation about raising the price was via text. I became frustrated and told Sam this was a terrible way to do business. The following day I called Sam and he placed the blame on all of the different managers. At one point, he even stated he was going to talk to them for me. When I continued to tell Sam this was dishonest, he became irate and wouldn’t let me speak. He was extremely rude and was yelling at me on the phone. Sam was saying condescending things like “I’m sorry you can’t understand” and accused me of arguing with him. He also told me they did not raise the price of the vehicle and we never agreed on the earlier price, despite I have a text conversation of him stating his managers decided to raise the price! Every time I would bring up a talking point that proved Sam’s dishonesty, he became more angry. Sam continued to not let me speak and then hung up on me. This was the worst interaction I’ve ever had with a salesman. I used to sell vehicles also, and I would never have treated my costumers this way. Not to mention, the dealership I worked for wouldn’t have allowed it. All three of these people and the dealership they work for are dishonest and rude. Its a blessing I didn’t purchase the vehicle because I’m sure it was misrepresented based on the interactions I had with them. Do not buy from this dealership and especially do not work with Sam, the most unprofessional, rude, arrogant, dishonest and untrustworthy salesman I have ever spoken with. More
