Im a long time customer of Honda of Burien, I previously have leased 2 cars + purchased 1 used car through them. I have recommended them to anyone looking to buy or lease a car since my first experience her have leased 2 cars + purchased 1 used car through them. I have recommended them to anyone looking to buy or lease a car since my first experience here. I have always found them to be fair, willing to work with me too meet my needs, and quick. I drove past 4 other Honda dealerships today in very high hopes to give my business to Honda of Burien (again), I literally have never purchased another vehicle anywhere else. Unfortunately after my experience today, I will never give them my business again. Id like to start off by saying my experience today was not an issue with any one in particular, it's just the experience as a whole was disappointing. I was greeted by a young salesmen who was very kind, he let me know that his English was not great and may need assistance from another salesman with translation, this was totally fine with me! The other salesman he brought over was also young and very kind. I let them know that I was there to trade in a lease, I wanted either the same exact car (CRV/ EX-L) for the same or similar payment ($425/month), or a better car for a similar amount, and that I would be putting $0 down and would lease again. I was extremely clear about this. The first salesmen brought me out to the lot and showed me CRV Sport - Hybrids, he sounded very enthusiastic about the vehicle meeting my needs and that it would be in my price range. We also discussed a EX-L as well, it seemed as though there was an inventory issue with White CR-Vs, and I was going to have to settle for another color, which I was okay with. Both salesmen walked me back inside and they started "running numbers". The initial offer presented to me was for the Sport Hybrid, they wanted $3,000 down and my monthly payment would be $800 a month. I couldn't even believe that, I again made it clear I wanted my payment to be the same or similar, I said I would go up a little bit and I was putting $0 down. The 2nd salesmen sat at the desk with me and made great conversation, he was very kind and professional, he also seemed optomistic about meeting my needs, while the 1st salesmen went back to talk too financing. I hear someone in the financing office yelling about how I pay $425 for a gas guzzler, and would saving the difference with the fuel economy of the hybrid. I'm no mathematician, but my gas bill in my 2022 CRV was not $400 every month, so no getting an $800 car payment with a huge down payment would not be beneficial, even with the "gas savings". They called the 2nd salesmen over to the office and he came back asking if I wanted a hybrid or if I was okay with the EX-L. I said I was totally fine staying with the EX-L for the same or similar price. A bit goes by and the 2nd salesman comes out again and says "this is the best we could do" , the offer was for $3000 down and my payment would be $600 a month for the EX-L. Again, not even remotely close to what I said I wanted, I was willing to give and take a bit but this was crazy. I told him no, we discussed somewhere between $425-440 a month,  he takes that back to financing + maybe 2 minutes goes by and he comes out saying his final offer was the one he previously gave me. I told him it wasn't happening and I left. I actually left speechless, I couldn't believe that loyal customers, with perfect payement history for several  leased cars now, are being presented with offers of those similar to luxury vehicles. If I wanted a huge car payment I would not drive a Honda CR-V, I would drive a Mercedes or Audi. I have never even been asked for a down payment on any of the pervious vehicles I had purchased through Honda of Burien before. I couldn't believe that nothing even similar too what I was asking for was being presented, I left feeling extremely disappointed. Luckily, after leaving Honda of Burien, I went to Renton + they got me into the crv exl for $450/month $0 down + hassle free. 3 stars for my pervious experiences being positive. More
