After 16 years and 316,000 miles, I traded my first Subaru in on this one. With the fine work the Rafferty team does, I expect to double the current 166,000 miles on my young Outback, and exceed the p Subaru in on this one. I purchased a pre-owned Subaru Outback from Rafferty Subaru on February 8 and was very pleased with the process however since the original purchase there have been multiple issues from which I am extrem Subaru on February 8 and was very pleased with the process however since the original purchase there have been multiple issues from which I am extremely displeased. Approximately 2 weeks after purchasing the vehicle I was driving on the Pennsylvania Turnpike when a slight vibration started which turned into an extreme vibration. I was able to drive to the next exit and after pulling off at the exit and inspecting the wheel I determined the lug nuts were loose – they had not been secured. Thank goodness I was driving the car and not my teenage son, as this was an extremely dangerous situation. Then the following weekend after I had driven approximately 1,000 miles total the oil pressure light came on. I checked the oil and there was not enough oil in the car. I had to put in a quart of oil. There was no leakage under the car so I can only assume not enough oil was put in the car prior to my purchase. After these incidents I called Rafferty Subaru and spoke with the person who helped with the purchase, and he said to arrange a service appointment and Rafferty review the car and change oil. I described my displeasure and lack of trust regarding what else may have been missed. I then spoke with the Service Manager, who properly stated Rafferty would take care of the issues and service the car. I brought the car to Rafferty on March 24, and this is not convenient as I live approximately 75 miles from Rafferty. When I brought the car in, I mentioned on the front lower bumper there is a silver decorative piece that was damaged and slightly detached. I realized this the night I got home after purchasing the car and I admit I did not see it initially or I would have asked for it to be replaced. During the service visited I requested this piece be replaced. I was informed the part was not in stock, it would be ordered, and I would be contacted when it arrived. No one from Rafferty has followed up with me since and in addition again, at the 1,000 mile mark after the oil change the oil pressure light came on. AGAIN the oil level was low and I had to AGAIN add one quart of oil. On April 29 I called Rafferty Parts to ask if the part ordered for the front of my car had come in. The Parts Department had no record of anything being ordered for my car. I then contacted Service to ask about the part. The person who assisted me on March 24 was not in, but the person who helped me said there were some notes on my record but nothing she could read that stated anything had been order for my car. I was very displeased with this information, not with the person trying to help me but that nothing had been ordered. I then asked to speak with the Service Manager. I explained the situation and voiced my displeasure. The Service Manager stated he understood, would investigate the situation, and call me back either later that day, April 29 or the following Monday May 2. As of the writing of this message on May 8 neither the service manager or anyone from Rafferty has contacted me. This is totally unacceptable unless there is some type of personal situation involved, which I hope is not the case. I live quite far from Rafferty, as I stated approximately 75 miles, and it is likely the Service people are just hoping I go away and go the closet Subaru dealer to me. I did not purchase a new car however I spent $15,000 on this car at Rafferty and Rafferty should take care of this issue. I am extremely displeased and may this response will elicit some response from Rafferty. I should not have to call Rafferty to follow upon the situation. More
The service at Rafferty Subaru has always been exceptional. It begins when I make my service appointment and continues until the service is finished. Cancel the head of the service department and exceptional. It begins when I make my service appointment and continues until the service is finished. Cancel the head of the service department and Kelly never disappoint. I am always greeted with smiles and good morning and made to feel like I am the only customer there. Did I mention how great the service people are my car is always returned cleaned and washed and working better than when I brought it in for service!! I would definitely recommend Rafferty Subaru to family friends and anybody interested in getting a good car for a good value with a good service department More
Very efficient and considerate team. No wasted time; respectful of customer needs. The availability of loaner cars made me choose this dealer. No wasted time; respectful of customer needs. The availability of loaner cars made me choose this dealer. More
