I dislike Car Dealerships/Dealers. Yet I love cars. Over the years Dealers have made purchasing a car an ugly event. To be honest I purchased a Kia Forte FT a few moths ago. Alethia in sales was a pleasure to work with. Glen the service manager was also a great help. Kyle the sales manager was dishonest throughout the purchase process and does the whole price gouging scam where he adds $4k to the retail price of the vehicle and claims bogus car prep fees, nonexistent ceramic coatings and other lies hoping for an uninformed car buyer he can take advantage of. He also sold me a car without a window sticker in violation of federal law assuring me it was ok which I later investigated and found to be a Federal fine of $1000. All I wanted was a replacement that the owner ended up supplying. He uses a form to show all the costs associated with the purchase, be careful with this one... he left off documentation fees and misquoted the registration cost at a lower GVWR. The form appears to be binding with signature blocks at the bottom, but don’t be fooled, you’ll never see that sheet again. Nothing on it means anything including the little line on the bottom he’ll likely point at suggesting it’s something beyond simply reordering the form from the print shop. Sneaky stuff. The Truth In Lending and other forms with the finance guy are what count. Look at those to know what you’re getting. If you question anything he’s doing, he’ll likely respond with an aggressive little attitude to discourage you from inquiring further. He definitely comfortable with lying. It’s hard for me to say if I’d recommend the dealership based on my experience with Kyle. I’d feel comfortable going there as backup for someone interested in making a purchase. From what I can tell the service department is ok and very helpful. More
Communication amongst the employees/staff is NON-EXISTENT! You can ask 3 different people that you worked with during your purchase the same question and you get 3 different answers! If you don’t know the answer just say let me look into it and I will get back to you; NOT lie or make up something to try and make people go away and stop calling! It started with lie after lie to keep me interested in purchasing or leasing a vehicle. First I am told that I qualified for a certain tier based on my credit, and was told my payment would be $315.00 a month BUT only if I put an additional $1000 down out of my trade-in money. So I agreed to put an additional $1000 down and when I got to the finance office that ALL changed; I was told that I did not qualify for that tier, AND my payment went from $315 to $348 EVEN with the extra $1000 down. Additionally, I was told that I would get my trade-in balance check in 2-3 weeks tops. First they gave me the run around that they had not yet received the title from the lien holder, which was not true because I called the lien holder and they told me the title was sent to the dealership 7 days prior to me calling them. When I confronted them about this, they changed the reason and said they have had the title but were now waiting for the owner of the dealership to sign the check (I find it hard to believe no other managers in the dealership have authority to sign a check). It took 6 weeks to get my trade-in balance check (not to mention the salesman (Sal) made it sound like I would be leaving with a check that day; but that also changed when I got to the finance office!). I got so frustrated that I even filed a complaint with Kia Corporate. Also, the NEW 2021 Kia K5 I leased is already having engine/electrical related issues! 2400 miles in and it already needs to go in for an engine diagnostic on 8/6/21; stopped at a red light and the car had NO pickup/power and RPM’s were pegged at 4500-5000 when I took off from the red light; lights started flashing on the dashboard, etc. Had to glide into the shoulder with my wife and kids in the car to shut the car down and try to see if a restart would help. Restart helped but the fact that the car is BRAND NEW (had 3 miles on it when I leased it) and having these problems already, is NOT a good sign! I feel like I have my 2014 Optima Turbo all over again (which I also purchased at this dealership); issue after issue after issue after issue; recall after recall after recall after recall, including an engine replacement because my engine seized – got to the point where I had no faith in the car anymore – reason I traded it in to get the K5 just to start the cycle all over again? I will say that I was NOT a fan of the previous ownership of this dealership, and the reason I went there to look for a car was because they had new ownership and staff; just to learn that even with the new ownership, I was dealing with the same issues I had with the previous ownership and staff, or worse! I will go to Sansone Jr's 66 Kia in Neptune City going forward for service (after my 8/6/21 scheduled engine diagnostic) even though it is further from my house. Next time this dealership will see me is when my lease is up in 3 years to give the car back, and if I do decide to purchase or lease another Kia, which is HIGHLY unlikely, it will NOT be at Raceway Kia of Freehold! More

Latrell is My Daughters Best Friend’s Brother. I know that was a lot lol. Latrell took his time, wasn't your typical salesman either he was actually himself. Funny, Educated, Nerdy, and enthusiastic. Mr.Bailey is an amazing Salesman. He’s very busy so you basically have to make an appointment to speak with him; but he still reaches out to you with our without the meeting. This dealership thinks we are in 1980's. I went to purchase a Forte GT with an internet price of $22,300 they had marked up the car "Market Adjustment" of $1,661 plus a bunch of worthless fake add-on' purchase a Forte GT with an internet price of $22,300 they had marked up the car "Market Adjustment" of $1,661 plus a bunch of worthless fake add-on's for a total make up of $3,200 or 13% markup on the car. To top it off they offered $4,500 less on my car than want was on KBB middle pricing. The Manager was rude, since I didn't want deal any more it took me 30 minutes to get my car keys back. No worries I purchased a VW, got KBB and and excellent deal with a professional Dealer. Stay away for this dealer, if you don't believe me, take a chance. More
