Rude as soon as you sign the paperwork Not that i think anyone really reads these things. At first the initial deal was 'fair'. Not the best deal I ever had on a car however this deal Not that i think anyone really reads these things. At first the initial deal was 'fair'. Not the best deal I ever had on a car however this dealership did indeed buy out the rest of my wife's lease without adding to the price of our new car so that is a pretty good thing. I didn't really want to lease again but we honestly had no choice as we are expecting a baby any day and needed a new car. My salesman Mike was 'ok" at first. Gave us very brief info on the car and frankly was confusing. When my wife and I left the dealership we were confused on the features of the car. I thought the car did one thing or another and at the end of the day it didn't do those things. We called the dealership a bunch of times as we were driving home to ask questions on the features of the car and MIke kept on saying "I told you that, i told you that" To tell you the truth, he may of, however he was so confusing that he may have been talking about another car and not the car we purchased. Again, confused. . In any event, We made a deal and i was "so so" on it. We then went to the financing department to sign the papers. There we found out that if we were to decide NOT to lease with Kia again, we would be charged a fee. We also found out that if we decided not to lease but PURCHASE the car that we leased we would be charged a fee again. I told the finance guy that we were not told that while talking to Mike. The finance guy (who was borderline rude) told us that the salesman would not know that kind of information and ALL DEALERSHIPS CHARGE THOSE FEES. 1. IF the salesman are going to talk numbers with customers, they should talk ALL THE NUMBERS. 2. All dealerships charge those fees? WRONG! All American Chevy in Middletown, the dealership who we are NOT leasing with anymore are not charging us any kind of fee. All we need to do is pay off the remainder of the lease and that is that. Basically, it appears to me that Raceway Kia charges hidden fees. Why did i sign the lease you may ask? I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. I needed a new car and again, Raceway was willing to buy out the remainder of my wife's horrible lease. So, we sign the paperwork and head out. Hop in the new car.......no gas! The dealership made it right and had us follow someone to get gas. Normally when you buy a car its washed and gassed for you. But, they made good on it so no problem. Here is the part of the story that really gets me upset with the my experience. It is 10ish days later. My plates and registration are in. Problem? The check that Raceway promised us we would get that would pay the remainder of my wife's previous lease was not in yet. Now, my mistake was i should have told Raceway that if they wanted our business we were not going to be the middle man. They should have dealt with the Chevy themselves, but OK. Being the check wasn't in yet, i was getting a little nervouse. My wife's payment with Chevy was almost due and we didn't want to be late with the payment. We called MIke over and over to find out where the check was and he had no answers. I thought he was our salesman. No answers. I head down to the dealership to get my plates and registration and to find out in person where my check is. Before I leave for the dealership I wanted to take a look at the envelope that i received from the Finance Department with all the paperwork in it. I took a look and now notice that none of it had anything written about the payoff for the previous lease from Raceway, a check, etc. Now i am concerned. Yes, i should have checked before i left the first time when i signed paperwork however, we needed to leave the dealership in a hurry due to my wife having to get home. I must have missed it. When i get to the dealership to pick up my plates and registration i go and see MIke. We literally ARGUE for almost 10 minuets. All i want is paperwork stating that a check was cut or mailed. Even paperwork stating that Raceway will indeed be sending me a check...something. MIke kept on saying "I can't get you any paperwork. Nothing i can do. Paperwork is somewhere else, its not here. I can't, I can't I can't" Now why do i want paperwork so bad? Basically, I don't trust this situation for some reason. I don't know if it is the dealership or MIke. Finally i said.....I need proof and that is that. Mike gets up in a MAJOR MAJOR HUFF, THROWS HIS HANDS UP LITERALLY LIKE A CHILD AND STORMS INTO THE OFFICE. Now, i am really about to get heated. 10 minuets later he comes out with some paperwork that clearly shows the check was cut. I said to MIke "You see? THIS is all i needed." He just blankly stared at me. He could have gotten me this paperwork and information days prior when my wife and i were calling and texting him. In my opinion, after you sign the paperwork, Mike has no use for you. He will not work for you after you sign. I have managed many retail stores in my life. Customers are important, repeat customers are EVERYTHING. I don't feel comfortable working with him any longer. Now, back to the check. We noticed the check was cut almost a week and a half prior yet we did not receive the check yet. My wife now calls the accounting department and gets in touch with MIke Dangelo (I believe he is the finance guy who we dealt with originally that was pretty rude). We found out that the check wasn't mailed out until many days after it was cut and that would explain why we haven't received the check yet. Now, Mike did answer our questions and ease our concerns however my wife did mention that, yet again, he was short with her over the phone. I do not appreciate that AT ALL. To Conclude. I now have 2 Kia's in my driveway. I expect to be treated nicely. I expect to have my questions answered and my concerns taken care of without being argued with. I am now questioning my decision with going to this Kia dealership and possibly even getting a Kia. The Kia Soul that is in my driveway has about 120,000 miles on it. I will be needing a new car soon. I am not sure now what dealership i will be going to. More
