Great Salesperson/Difficult Customer I shopped for a car for six months. I test drove at least twelve different brands/models. I visited several dealerships. Having bought from Quirk b I shopped for a car for six months. I test drove at least twelve different brands/models. I visited several dealerships. Having bought from Quirk before, I wanted to have that be the last dealership I contacted prior to making my decisoin. I am knowledgeable and a well-prepared buyer with regard to the car from a technical assessment, reputation and quality. I also did my homework on pricing, etc. Rich Mohammed was the first saleman I worked with who understood that I needed questions answered - not advice. Gave me the time I needed. Was trying to decide between two models. One was severeal thousand more than the other, but well established. One was new technology and no past record of reliability or performance.. When i was not ready to close at my first visit, he accepted it and would keep in touch in a very professional and businesslike manner. My schedule prevented me from moving forward for a few weeks because of business travel. Last week I bought the Jeep. The lease price was fair and the trade-in was good. New car model -no reputation - lease was best option for me. I would recommend anyone who wants reliable, realistic information from a salesperson and a very nice person to work with - please see Rich. Watch out for the finance manager!!!! This is the third new car I have purchased from a Quirk dealership and probably my last. Pricing was good, salesman friendly and informative but I w This is the third new car I have purchased from a Quirk dealership and probably my last. Pricing was good, salesman friendly and informative but I was lied to by the finance manager. Chrysler offered 1.9% apr for 60mo on the truck that I was purchasing and I was pre-approved through Chrysler Corp. After filling out all of the finance paper work, Billy, the finance manager said that Chrysler came back at 2.5% apr for 60mo. even though I am in the top tier credit rating and that Chrysler wasn't offering 1/9% apr for the truck I was buying. He said he was able to secure a loan through a local bank at 2.04%apr. The difference is $107 over the life of the loan, not a deal breaker. Long story short, I brought in a copy of the finance deals shown on the Jeep website showing the 1.9% apr/60mo finance offer from Chrysler. Billy says the deal can't be rewritten. I said no problem as long as Quirk makes good on the $107 difference in payments over the life of the loan. Eric the General Manager was unwilling to negotiate the $107 but at the last minute before driving off the lot, offered to put the loan through Chrysler at the 1.9%apr. At this late hour, it wasn't worth the additional time required to do so and advised him that it was the principle of the matter and not the money. All this for $107!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Unbelivable. Looking forward to writing Dan Quirk, although I'm sure he is already aware of his dealerships practices. More
