I was driving home from JFK in a rainstorm and all of a sudden water came gushing down from the ceiling! I had no idea what caused it. I got a good deal on my Atlas and everything was taken care of very quickly - I spoke with Evan in the morning and drove away that evening with my new Atlas -outstanding!! I appreciate that during COVID buyers can't expect the same treatment as we used to get but I do think that basic knowledge of the options available and how they work should be standard training. I am going to tell you a story. I have a 2006 Touareg V8. I tour the country in my Touareg. And this SUV serves me well. I have had so many dealerships service this machine. She is a beast now, over 230k miles and looking for 500k when I am done. Unstoppable VW. You cannot go wrong with a VW. So, this was a different experience. Scheduling was not easy, but end result was what was needed and delivered. In the meantime, the service department has difficulty in communication. I needed to know if I needed a new battery. The team did not, or could not tell me the condition of the current battery. They replaced it non the same. And the estimates of the battery replacement service went from $227 to $425 during the visit. On scheduling the appointment there was no mention of a labor charge, but I got $159 for my visit. I have had the car rebooted several times in the past, to correct weird issues. Never required tech to do anything, German engineering correct faults on its own. So not quite sure what the service department provided for a $159 labor charge. I shared the experience with the service team, and they offered me a car wash for my inconvenience, which normally offer to all service appointments, so not sure where they were going. Then worked on an upsell for future business in exchange for poor customer service. Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot. More
