When I took it into a local shop, I was told not only did it need a thermostat, the tie rods and tie rod ends were all shot and needed to be replaced along with a leaking front shock. Worse yet, when I had them change the oil they found a ton of metal flake in the oil, indicating there may be significant engine damage as the engine makes a slight ticking noise. I know that the oil was changed at the dealership and when I brought all of this up to the used car sales manager, that fat xxxxxxx thief Josh, his response was that "metal shavings in oil don't mean anything, jeeps always have loose front ends, and the price point was lowered to accommodate those things, even though none of "those things" were disclosed at purchase. His solution was offering to take the jeep back and giving my trade back AFTER he already knew that I just dropped over three grand having the repairs done plus another three grand on new tires and wheels. Cannot speak to the new car sales area, but the used car people are xxxxing garbage, unscrupulous filth! More
