Fantastic service and people! My car was taken care of way beyond my expectations. I have been a Purvis customer for many years and have never been disappointed. way beyond my expectations. I have been a Purvis customer for many years and have never been disappointed. More
I am a long-term customer of Purvis Ford. I had my 2017 Expedition Platinum in for service and asked that they do an appraisal to see what my trade-in value was. Based on my vehicles trade-in value, I deci Expedition Platinum in for service and asked that they do an appraisal to see what my trade-in value was. Based on my vehicles trade-in value, I decided to go ahead with the trade and purchase a 2020 Expedition Platinum. Purvis did not have what I wanted on the lot and my sales rep, Barry Jones, found a vehicle at another dealer that I was happy with. Total process was easy and Ken in Finance pointed out the pros and cons of various finance options to me. As always the staff at Purvis Ford go above and beyond to make purchasing a new vehicle an enjoyable experience. More
Unfortunately, I wish I could give a negative star! Driving to work one morning, when my 2019 ford explorer began to act like the emergency break was on (it wasn't) & it wouldn't gain speed. I had seve Driving to work one morning, when my 2019 ford explorer began to act like the emergency break was on (it wasn't) & it wouldn't gain speed. I had several alerts come up that I was unable to read without my reading glasses, I decided to stop at Purvis, the location where I have purchased ALL of my ford's (Fredericksburg, VA) to see if they could check it out. I was told very rudely by Dan, to go to another dealership; they are booked up until Oct and I shouldn't expect him to bump another customer for me. First of all, I never asked him to push me to the head of the line; I was going to drop it off for however long they needed & I had a coworker willing to pick me up & take me home. Secondly he was not willing to look at the alerts popping up, he was taking my word (mind you, I know nothing about cars) because I had said, "it felt like the transmission". Thirdly, due to his lack of customer service, I drove away in a car that was not fit to be driven at that time. And lastly, my husband & I have given Purvis a lot of business over the last 15 years however, after that disturbing experience with Dan, we will never purchase another vehicle from there. More

7 Hours for a Simple Service on my F-150 This is the second time I have had my F-150 serviced at Purvis. Both times for a standard oil change, tire rotation, and state safety inspection. This is the second time I have had my F-150 serviced at Purvis. Both times for a standard oil change, tire rotation, and state safety inspection. I scheduled the service on line for 0800, and dropped the vehicle off at 0700. At 1100 it made it into the shop, and I received a call from my service POC. Around 1430 I called for a status and was told he was awaiting on paperwork. At about 1500 I received a call that the vehicle was ready, and I picked it up at 1540. Although the paperwork says I was promised the vehicle by 1900, this was not part of the in-processing transaction. Perhaps my mistake was I did not say I was waiting for the vehicle (as we live relatively close). The paperwork also states the vehicle was ready at 1418. This is the second time these circumstances have occurred. My expectations were that the vehicle would enter the shop at 0800 and would be finished around 1100; I do not understand the disconnect in scheduling the service time ... and ... when the actual service begins. FIVE HOUR OIL CHANGE I took my f250 two wheel drive truck into Purvis for an oil change and a safety inspection. My vehicle has approximately 53,000 miles on it. I was to I took my f250 two wheel drive truck into Purvis for an oil change and a safety inspection. My vehicle has approximately 53,000 miles on it. I was told by my service tech. It would be approximately two hours. After 5 hours plus my tech tells me they are working on the safety inspection, and my wheel bearings need to be repack or replaced on my 4x4, I explained my truck is two wheel drive. He said they still need to be done, and they have to fail my truck if they don't do them. I tried to tell him I had the 50,000 mile service at another Ford dealership 10 months ago, and my wheel bearing were all good. I got no connection to what I was saying. I ask what the repack would cost, he said only 399.00 for my truck. I declined his ridiculous offer, and waited another hour and half for my vehicle. Today I took my vehicle to meineke across from Costco and had them pull my front wheels off, pack the bearing and give me my vehicle safety inspection, all for less than $200.00. The mechanic told me the wheel bearings were not loose, or in need of anything. So all that being said I obviously will never go back to Purvis, and I honestly believe that the service folks are in the business of deceiving their customers rather than assisting them. I would suggest taking a second look for another dealership, or at the very least question what your service tech tells you, good luck . Dan Graves More
