Beware of Providence Autos – A Costly and Frustrating Experience My experience with Providence Autos has been highly disappointing, marked by unprofessionalism, poor service, and ongoing vehicle issue Experience My experience with Providence Autos has been highly disappointing, marked by unprofessionalism, poor service, and ongoing vehicle issues that have made my purchase a costly nightmare. In May 2023, I purchased a $22,000 Jeep from Providence Autos. Despite expressing my desire to think over the decision, the sales manager pressured me into purchasing the vehicle immediately, claiming it was a limited-time "deal." Regrettably, I proceeded with the purchase, a decision that would prove to be a mistake. By August 2023, the Jeep required major repairs, including the alternator, main seal, rear brakes, rotors, and battery. Within 24 hours of picking it up after repairs, I had to return it for additional work on spark plugs and wires. I also discovered the right-side headlight was improperly connected. Though I managed to fix it myself, further issues emerged, including a persistent ticking noise that worsened over time. In May 2024, I was quoted an alarming $12,000 for extensive engine repairs, including alignment, 4WD service, and lifter replacements. Adding to the frustration, the mechanic falsely claimed that I had declined the 4WD service previously, which was untrue. When I approached the sales manager for assistance, he was dismissive and offered me two poor options: pay for the repairs or allow them to buy back the Jeep for a minimal amount, leaving me still responsible for a vehicle loan. When I expressed my concerns, he dismissed my frustration, labeling me as "too emotional," and from then on, communication was filtered through a service counter representative Crystal. Crystal is sweet and great to communicate with, but she is the only one. Eventually, I filed complaints with the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau. Providence Autos agreed to cover some repair costs, but new issues immediately arose, such as a dangling license plate holder, a locked brake caliper, and again a disconnected headlight. After another unhelpful visit, I sought repairs elsewhere, where I found dangerously worn brake pads, a soaked driver’s side floor, and an oil leak from the replaced seal. Additionally, the jack and lug nut wrench provided were incorrect for the vehicle. At this point, I am left with an unreliable vehicle and still owe money on a Jeep that should never have been sold at this price. My experience with Providence Autos has been filled with frustration, a lack of accountability, and a disregard for customer satisfaction. If you're considering purchasing a vehicle from Providence Autos, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Their practices and customer service fall far short of expectations, and no one should have to endure the issues I’ve faced. More
