Then found out tires were worn to cords, but the best is that they had wrong size tires on car???? Really??? Told the sales guy NUMEROUS times that safety was #1 priority. Sure--vehicle undergoes a Thorough Safety Check....umm Ok..I would think headlights and tires would be included? They just wanted the deal closed-couldn't care less about a 16yr old kid driving around with potentially dangerous issues. As a single mom I feel they took advantage of me - at the expense of my child. Unacceptable. Oh yes, try and get a service appointment that's convenient for you..not gonna happen. There are many other reputable dealerships in the area. Be safe and avoid this one. More

I felt that I was lied to just to get me to travel 40 minutes there to try and sell me a vehicle that was there. The one I asked for,I was told it was there when in fact it wasn't. Honesty is the key in minutes there to try and sell me a vehicle that was there. The one I asked for,I was told it was there when in fact it wasn't. Honesty is the key in return is respect!!! More
I had printed out information on a few used cars that I liked that were at Progressive Chevrolet. Once I got there I was greeted promptly by the salesman. I told him I was interested in buying a used car liked that were at Progressive Chevrolet. Once I got there I was greeted promptly by the salesman. I told him I was interested in buying a used car and showed him the paperwork on the three cars I was interested in. I found out that one of the cars was already sold, the second one I wasn't interested in after seeing it and took the third one out for a test drive. I really liked the car after driving it so we sat down to do some paperwork. I told them I wanted to keep my monthly payment under $200. They worked out some numbers and came back with a payment of $242 a month. As you can see, this is no where near being under $200, but I had expected that that would happen. After an hour and a half of negotiating, I was finally able to get the payment down to $203 but had to go up to 69 months. Then I had to spend another 30 - 40 minutes in another office signing all the paperwork. The car is used so I decided to get the 3 year warranty for an extra $9 a month. Somehow that took my loan up to 72 months. $9 a month for 72 months comes out to $648. It's interesting how on the loan papers its marked at over $1,600. Hmmmm...it must be magic. Then to top it all off, the salesman hands me the key (that's one key) to the car and it doesn't have a keyless remote to it. I asked him about the keyless remote and he says it wasn't in the envelope. The girl that gave me all the loan papers says that I can purchase one at AutoZone. I took the car home (had to stop at the gas station to fill it up because it was almost empty) and the next day I was removing the paper describing the car from the window and noticed right on the paper it said "keyless remote entry." I had to go back to the dealership to drop off the spare key for the car I traded in so I took the paper with me to show the salesman. He looked at it and said he would have to talk to his manager and get back with me the next day. The next day was a Friday and I hadn't heard anything about the keyless remote. On Monday I had a message on my answering machine saying that they could not supply me with a keyless remote that the "disclaimer" said that the car did not have to be exactly as described. After paying more than I had wanted for the car they couldn't even supply a $60 (retail) keyless remote. I have to say that I was very disappointed. I just don't understand why car dealers can't be more upfront and honest when dealing with customers. I rated my overall experience as a 3 only because I like the car that I purchased. I'm hoping that I don't have any problems with the car in the future because I don't think I am going to get any help from the dealership. More

I saw an ad on craigslist for a vehicle at the dealership and the price was listed at 15000. We went to the dealership and explained that we had great credit but not a high income so we werent sure if we co and the price was listed at 15000. We went to the dealership and explained that we had great credit but not a high income so we werent sure if we could be financed and they promptly said it wouldnt be a problem. We were still hesitant but decided to trust them and go along with the process of the purchase. They came back to the table and said that the real price was 18000 and that the price listed on craigslist was the price that they paid not what they were selling for. This to me was super decieving and angered us but at this point it was hard to turn around and we were having a hard time being financed any where else so decided to still buy. After being told for 3 hours that they were finishing up and almost ready they came back and said that there was a problem with the milage and having a hard time financing us. Wish we would have been told this 2 hours ago so they told us to come back on Monday. So after being at the dealership for 5 hours with our 3 children all under 3 yrs old we had to come back on Monday and they acted like it was no big deal and that we were suddenly financed. Little did we know that a week later we started getting denial letters in the mail left and right that we had been denied because of our lack of income not because of the high miles on the vehicle. We recieved 12 denial letters in total!! This not only tarnished our perfect credit but proved that they were flat out liars! More
I come to rely on Progressive Chevrolet for parts and service for my personal vehicle. Todays thoughts will be directed to the outstanding service provided by Mr. Jay Johnson and service staff related service for my personal vehicle. Todays thoughts will be directed to the outstanding service provided by Mr. Jay Johnson and service staff related to the service of my employer provided vehicle. I operate a 2008 GM vehicle (employer provided) daily and exceed 25,000 miles per year. As with most employers today, budget constraints are a way of daily operations. Simply, vehicle maintenance is never a priority. The problem with the '08 unit was ongoing and exceeded two years. Armed with data from a number of internet searches my employer was convinced the problem was a design malfunction which was beyond repair. Based on my prior experience with the service dept at Progressive Chevrolet, I convinced my employer to let me approach Mr Jay Johnson with this vehicle concern. Mr Jay Johnson worked closely with middle management staff members of my employer to address this concern. Tuesday January 3, 2012 at 9am, the unit arrived at the dealership. At 4pm the same day my employer directed my to pick up the unit. I am happy to announce the unit is 100% repaired. Mr Jay Johnson has a positive "can do" attitude, works well with middle management team members of outside corporate staff and maintains the best interest of GM, Progressive Chevrolet, and faithful longtime customers. My Salesman, David Buttermore was patient with me and recommended the perfect car for my needs and budget. Challace Kotuce coudln't have been nicer, walking me through the paperwork and working hard to get me the best financing deal she could. She even went the extra distance to call me back after the deal had been made to tell me she had gotten an even better offer! She was excited as I was. They appreciate that you work hard for your money and a car purchase is not an everyday occurance for most of us. I was nervous but it ended very, very well. More
