I was visiting Tallahassee when I suddenly had an issue with my CRV. The repair took nearly a week. I was told that it was an involved job and when I checked with my regular dealership was told it didn’t h with my CRV. The repair took nearly a week. I was told that it was an involved job and when I checked with my regular dealership was told it didn’t have to be that involved or take that long. Other mechanics have told me it was overpriced… I later found a place that would have done the job for 2k less than what I paid at Proctor—labor included, and my vehicle could have been returned the next day. Initially, when I called the service shop I got disconnected 3 times. I left a voicemail that went unreturned. When I finally did arrive in person with the tow truck, my service advisor was courteous and attentive and did seem concerned about my well being as I was unfamiliar with the area. She oriented me to the nearest rental car areas. Having to return back to the dealership from out of area, it would have been helpful to have a better estimated time of job completion and frequent status updates. I was notified early afternoon my vehicle was done but wouldn’t have had time to arrange travel (5 hours) to retrieve it that day prior to closing. When I got in the next day, I did have to wait a bit to check out. While I prepaid through contactless methods, it took the attendant a while to find my key and paperwork. More
