I have been going to this dealer because of one specific Service manager- Robert Arrington. He is very trust worthy and that is the reason I have been coning to Rosenthal since 2004. However, on my last v Service manager- Robert Arrington. He is very trust worthy and that is the reason I have been coning to Rosenthal since 2004. However, on my last visit this week, I specifically requested ROB ARRRINGTON on the ticket and to my dismay, I was later called by Bill Tillery who almost made me die of a heart attack! He quoted me a repair bill of $3650.00 and I needed to make a decision whether I wanted to trade the car or spend that much. I became angry and inquired why am I talking to you. I wanted to talk to my trusted manager Rob, but Rob was unavailable. I needed a High speed Steering hose which I bought from the parts store for approx $178.50 which he was charging me over $200.00 and could not understand how I can purchase the part from the parts dept at such low cost! DUH! And would have proceeded to have my friend install for me at a nominal cost. But Mr. Tillery insisted that I have to pay for 1 hour of diagnosis for some $100.plus so I agreed for him to change the high speed steering hose, a transmission flush( BIG RIP OFF)and an oil change for a total of $412.53 TRUST is everything when it comes to service. Mr Tillery told me that management changed the system so even though I was always assigned to the Rob's Purple Team, it is whoever comes in first takes the car. This is absolutely baloney. I need a refund at least for the hour of diagnosis cost at a minimum and guarantee that Mr. Tillery will not be usurping my car on the next visit and that I can get to my usual reliable Manager with whom I have developed a long trusting relationship. Rather than include the 3 page 2,200 word document that I submitted to my attorney, and will be submitting to the office of the Attorney General of Virginia, the Better Business Bureau and any other organiza submitted to my attorney, and will be submitting to the office of the Attorney General of Virginia, the Better Business Bureau and any other organization that protects consumers, I will keep this simple. With that said, I encourage the reader to check the reviews of this dealership on other sites. They are horrid! The best way to describe this transaction would be lies, more lies, selling a car with issues that should have caused it to fail the VA inspection (no horn for one thing) more lies, and an unbelievably rude and dishonest used car manager. This ordeal lasted for 6 days, at which point we just gave up and decided to consider the manager's advice and I quote, "Sue me." Enough said, for now. More
Like others, this dealership is really nice at first. Unfortunately - we should have listened to all of the bad ratings as this was our worst dealership experience ever. Our car salesman might be so pro Unfortunately - we should have listened to all of the bad ratings as this was our worst dealership experience ever. Our car salesman might be so proud that he has all of these plaques up on his wall stating he is "the best used car salesman in the Nissan dealership world" but he rally only tells you what you want to hear and not truly what the facts are. He might sell a lot of vehicles but once you sign that dotted line to buy the car he has already moved on to his next victim. We purchased a used "Rosenthal Certified Nissan" Altima car that did not pass MD inspection with only 42K miles - Brakes, rotors, and a cracked sensor. It has been over 3 weeks and we still have not resolved or even came half-way on rectifying this problem. I needed to put over $900 in repairs to get this vehicle to even pass MD inspection even though the car salesman said he "promised it would pass MD inspection" as we were back deciding whether to sign the deal or not (In total it has cost me $1,800 to put this car safely on the road for my family). And alas, even the general manager has not impressed me much at all. He doesn't return your phone calls promptly and talks like he is there for you but then never follows through on what exactly he says. As examples: what true Nissan dealership would resurface front rotors without replacing the brake pads – a big red flag! Additionally, they even placed on the inspection work order, that we were so kindly given after we requested it twice (and were given after we committed to buying the car), that there are cracked belts and rust on the rear rotors - but they never fixed those items - just made a note on the work order - really? But this is a Rosenthal Certified Nissan?!?! Apparently a Rosenthal Certified Nissan only means that it passed VA inspection (and from what our Certified Maryland Inspection Station said “this car couldn't have even passed that”). Please think twice before buying from them – we regret not listening to the reviews on this dealership! The sales price might entice you but you'll pay out the nose on all of the repairs that they missed during their certified Nissan inspection! Very sketchy dealership that is solely interested in a car sale rather than a repeat customer. Be forewarned! More
Excellent sales representatives but Pushy managers. I agreed upon a price with the sales manager, then went on to the financial dept. There was a "price discrepancy" and the sale total will be increased agreed upon a price with the sales manager, then went on to the financial dept. There was a "price discrepancy" and the sale total will be increased by $500. I walked out. I felt that it was done intentionally, as a bait-n-switch trick. (A few hundred wouldn't make a big diff after few hrs of negotiating) More
Look above at the number of people we worked with and it's no wonder we didn't purchase a vehicle from this place. Three sales associates and one finance manager later, we walked out never wanting to re it's no wonder we didn't purchase a vehicle from this place. Three sales associates and one finance manager later, we walked out never wanting to return. We (girlfriend and I) were looking to trade in two vehicles ('08 Mazda 3 & '08 Infiniti G35S, both w/ low miles in good-to-excellent condition) and purchase a brand new 2010 CX-7. We stopped in w/ one of the cars on a Friday evening and talked to one sales associate to tell him our situation (2 trade-ins and a new purchase). In about 15 mins he wanted to appraise the one car and that we could bring the other back tomorrow to get appraised. So we look at the CX-7 we like while the car is getting appraised. When they're finished, the sales manager comes back and says, "We don't want to give you a firm number right now because we'd like to see the other car." Ok, fine. "Ok, we will return with the other one tomorrow," we say. The next day we return with both trade-ins. This time they want to appraise not only the other car, but the same one they did the night before. We ask, "What has changed, why did you need to appraise this one again?" We couldn't get a straight answer. We thought, "Fine," and waited. When they were ready to show us the numbers of the trade-ins on paper and the price of the vehicle, the sales manager showed us the piece of paper that listed a "Mazda 3" and a "Volvo" to be traded in. Wrong car. Keep in mind, we saw both of our vehicles being appraised for about 30/45 mins. After this little blunder, the sales manager returns 10 minutes later with the more accurate paperwork. The values offered on the trade-ins turned out to be $5k and $2k less than what we ended up being offered (later) at Carmax for a total of $7k in equity. We did not like their offer and wanted shop around elsewhere. (I believe) The finance manager returned after we expressed our dissatisfaction with the offer only to try to haggle with us. At this point, 3 salesman are standing on one side of the table, while we're sitting on the other. The finance manager is telling me he can't do better than $XXXXX for one car and $YYYYY for the other when we (girlfriend and I) both knew what another dealership in Fairfax had offered us (much fairer) and what KBB suggested for a trade-in. "What will make you happy?" he asks us. "Match the prices and then we can talk further," I say. Keep in mind, they still have the keys to our current vehicles. So after 5 more minutes he barely budges on the offers. He gets up to "work on the numbers" I assume and leaves us with the other sales manager we had spoken to. They ask us both to fill out credit applications before we even have a good idea of the numbers. We decline. The sales manager can tell we are frustrated and sits down with us to talk. He says, "If you leave here, I want to make sure you're happy." He continues to try to salvage what quickly turned into a lost sale by asking us what he can do to make us happy. My girlfriend finally interrupts him and interjects, "Can you please just give us back the keys to our cars so we can get out of here?!" So we stand up, they give us the keys back and we leave. I would not recommend this dealership. It was frustrating, unpleasant, and a waste of time. More
Rosenthal Mazda on Route 7 is hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a dealership. They held my keys hostage after getting my car appraised and wouldn’t let me have them until I promised I experience I've ever had at a dealership. They held my keys hostage after getting my car appraised and wouldn’t let me have them until I promised I would give them a chance. The manager on hand said over and over all he wanted to do was make me happy; however, the price for his car was higher than any other dealership in the area and the trade-in value on my car was 42% lower than I got at another dealership later in the day. I felt like I was getting taken advantage of with Rosenthal and wouldn’t recommend Rosenthal or the team to my worst enemy. More
Having owned eight Nissans since 1981, we won't consider going to another dealership other than Rosenthal Nissan of Tysons Corner Vienna Virginia. Why bother? We have a great longstanding relationship and w going to another dealership other than Rosenthal Nissan of Tysons Corner Vienna Virginia. Why bother? We have a great longstanding relationship and would recommend them to everyone. We weren't accosted by high pressure salespeople. They were very helpful and didn't irritate us. We were careful consumers. We learned early on that Nissans were quality vehicles and we got our value's worth More
I bought 2008 Nissan Pathfinder from these guys in december of 2010. There was check engine light when I took it out for test drive and they told me that it is a certified car with no accident history december of 2010. There was check engine light when I took it out for test drive and they told me that it is a certified car with no accident history. It only had 30k Miles on it and I thought it'd b a good deal. First they backed down from their internet listed price and then they gave me bad deal on trade in and I dropped 11 thousand down and my pay off balance is 21k. I admit that I do not have experience in buying cars and this was the first one I bought on my own but these guys ripped me off on used car. For that much money I could've bought brand new car. When I took my car to their service department for that engine light check, it turned out that they had to replace the max air sensor or something. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP, THEY ARE RIP OFFS AND FRAUDS. More
Bottom line: they do not honor the prices on their website and will really take advantage of anyone they can. We saw a decent price on a Nissan Pathfinder on their website, so decided to stop by and t website and will really take advantage of anyone they can. We saw a decent price on a Nissan Pathfinder on their website, so decided to stop by and test drive. We were actually leaning toward a Toyota 4Runner, and after reading these other reviews I think we got out relatively unscathed. The salesman was new and very nice and low key, took us on a good test drive and did a pretty good job showing off the vehicle's features. We started talking numbers with the sales manager. We did not indicate that we had seen the website prices before coming in, or knew about specific rebates, and this manager was quoting us prices $3,000 higher (he actually called it a "screaming deal" with a straight face.) We looked at several different trucks on the lot, none of which were the color or specs we wanted. They kept trying to sell us what we didn't want, and we got out of there when my spouse flat-out told them about 100 times he wasn't buying it (we did get the VIN numbers to make sure it was the same vehicle on the website). The next day we bought the Pathfinder from a different dealership, both Sheehy in Springfield and Criswell in Germantown found it in the color we wanted and offered it for $4,000 less than what Rosenthal quoted. I only hope our nice salesperson (I can't remember his name) finds another job soon. The showroom was dirty and run down and the bathrooms were just gross. Oh, and we were the only customers on what should have been a really busy Sunday--the Toyota dealership across the street was packed. More
I went to this dealership while I was in the market for an Xterra. Never again will I go there nor will I recommend it to anyone else. At first things were fine and the people were friendly and helpful. an Xterra. Never again will I go there nor will I recommend it to anyone else. At first things were fine and the people were friendly and helpful. When they realized that I wasn't just some dumb girl who was going to pay something I wasn't comfortable with, things changed. They were very pushy and you could tell that they weren't out to satisfy me; they were looking for a sale and trying to make as much money as possible off me. On my 2nd visit there to talk some more about the price, things definitely escalated and the pushiness got even worse. It was difficult to even leave the dealership with how forceful they were being. It was very nerve-wracking. After I left, the sales person I dealt with, Adil (Al), called me over and over again. I did not take his call and he proceeded to leave me multiple voicemails within a 2-3 hour period. I ended up purchasing the Xterra from a different dealership because I felt less pressure and the staff was much easier to deal with. In addition they were willing to get me to a price I was comfortable paying. After I purchased my vehicle, I thought I would be courteous and let Al know that I bought a vehicle. Once I told him, he flipped out on me. He became rude and belligerent and thought I was crazy when I told him he was pushy. He said he was being nice and trying to help me make the purchase and he didn’t understand how he seemed pushy. He then went on to say “Thanks for wasting my time” and hung up on me. He did call the next day and apologize for that but to me it was too late, his apology did not mean a thing to me. I tried to put a formal complaint in to the dealership and I spoke with the general manager when I called. He seemed very uninterested in what I was trying to say. He asked me what happened and I told him about my experience with his dealership. He did not seem shocked nor did he try to apologize for what happened. Because of my experience at this dealership I will never go back there and I hope other people choose their dealership wisely!!! More
