I've always gotten great service from Woodson with Hondas not purchased from their dealership. I wrongly assumed Woodson would not be competitive with larger dealerships on a new purchase and planned on get not purchased from their dealership. A last minute call found Woodson very competitive and with the service I've always received, it turned out great. Staff is excellent as well, both in sales and service. More
My daughter had a really bad experience with this dealer. My daughter had a really bad experience with this dealer. Her Honda was having problems so she called Rick Woodson Honda and they said bring it down and they would look at it. When she arrived they told her, we can't get to it today, leave it overnight. They took her keys and told her to call Friday. When she called they said her car had been burglarized. When she went down there her car was on blocks. Her brand new tires and custom rims had been stolen. Also they had went into the car and stolen her JVC stereo system. My daughter being a college student and part time Food Lion worker has very limited income, so she did not have full coverage insurance to cover this theft. When she asked the dealership what they were going to do about this they said we are not responsible. They were rude and basically she said it was her problem not their's. My daughter's insurance company said they would file a claim with Rick Woodson Honda's insurance company if she could find out the name of the company. We ask the dealership for the name of their insurance company and they flat out refused to give it to us on more than one occasion. So we contacted the owner, Sally Woodson-Spigle about the matter. She said we are not responsible and we are not paying. My daughter entrusted her car to these people and was let down big time. She has been upset and crying now for two days. Several other customer cars were burglarized that night too. Information involving this incident can be reviewed in Roanoke City Police file: case # 11-002526. It appears to me that the dealership is willing to protect their own property, but not the property of their customers. My conclusion: avoid Rick Woodson Honda and entrust you vehicle and property to a dealership that is willing to protect it. More
I purchased my Honda Element a 2008 from a used car dealer. I was the second retail owner. I had the door visors, an arm rest added and seat covers installed on the rear seats. The service and quality dealer. I was the second retail owner. I had the door visors, an arm rest added and seat covers installed on the rear seats. The service and quality of work at this dealership is outstanding. I will take my Element there for all maintenance and will probably buy my next new car off of them. More
I received a service bulletin from Honda stating that if the SRS light on the indicator panel is on, that I could bring my car in and have it inspected at NO cost, and if the affected area was covered under the SRS light on the indicator panel is on, that I could bring my car in and have it inspected at NO cost, and if the affected area was covered under the extended warranty, that it would also be replaced a no cost. Unfortunately, Rick Woodson Honda would not honor the free inspection. The letter from Honda Motors states: "If the red supplemental restraint system (SRS) indicator on the instrument panel stays on, take your vehicle to any Honda dealer for an inspection.... The inspection is also free of charge, even if there is not a problem with the OPDS control unit or the OPDS sensor and your vehicle is within the extended warranty time/mileage period" - Service Bulletin 06-009 pg. 7 dated Feb 5, 2008. However, Rick Woodson Honda stated that they will only cover the cost of the $80 inspection, if the inspection turned up a problem with the control unit or sensor. This came from not only the service associates, but the service manager "Todd" as well. Of course, there is no way of knowing what's wrong with the car until after the inspection, but that's beside the point. Regardless, Rick Woodson Honda would not honor Honda Corporations offer to a free inspection no matter what the inspection outcome is. In conclusion, Honda Corporation felt they did not have the time to police the Dealer's who's selling their product, reciting that the Dealership's are independently owned. Overall Very Unsatisfied.
