Just read the other reviews before you buy! I am completely dissatisfied with Priority Chevrolet in Chesapeake and it's service team. I purchased a new impala and recently relocated for work out of state. I took the vehicle for it's very first service appointment and brought up the fact that the chrome molding around the windows was fading. The very nice advisor looked up the issue and found this was a known problem with the impala and ordered the parts to have it replaced. The gentleman scheduled my appointment and advised it would need to be left for a few days, but they would provide a loaner vehicle until the repair was complete. At that time, the advisor switched my address in the system since I had informed him I moved in state. As scheduled, I arrived for my appointment and he took me to get my vehicle. The gentleman at the counter informed me that I would not be able to use a loaner since I had an out of state license. He asked if I had a military ID instead, to which I explained no – I had just relocated from out of state for work. The gentleman confirmed with his manager, Bob Backus who indicated this was the policy. They suggested I call Enterprise to rent a vehicle, while the service was completed. This is completely and utterly unacceptable. As a new Chevy owner, it should not matter if I brought my vehicle in California, Florida or Hawaii, I should be able to have service at any dealership for a known defect with the vehicle! Additionally, I should not be prohibited from utilizing a loaner vehicle due to my VALID license being from a different state! In addition, it is completely UNACCEPTABLE that Chevy would inform me to contact a rental company to rent a car why they fix a known defect on my vehicle! Why in the world should I have to pay out of my pocket when I have a BRAND NEW car and the issue was not caused by me? Furthermore, I was not informed of this prior to my appointment. This dealership not only wasted my time and energy but has lost the trust of someone who has two brand new Chevy's (16 Impala LT and 17 Impala Premier). The dealership, if they could not provide a loaner as indicated by their policy should have arranged for Enterprise to cover the cost of the car and had it on site so I could get it replaced and not expect the customer to cover the extra expense. Shame on Priority for having this terrible service and policy, and shame on Chevy for allowing Priority Chevrolet in Chesapeake to be apart of your brand! More
You are not a Priority First I want to praise Priority Acura for their high level of customer service. I've been a Priority client for 10+ years but after my recent experien First I want to praise Priority Acura for their high level of customer service. I've been a Priority client for 10+ years but after my recent experience from the sales and service department at Priority Chevy, I'm looking to devote my loyalty elsewhere. On Friday, I dropped my vehicle off around noon for a diagnostics at the Chevy dealership. After a few hours of hearing nothing I called for an update around 4pm. I was informed by Garland in a not so welcoming tone that I wouldn't receive any information that day because they closed at 5 (they actually close at 8) and the earliest I would know anything was Tuesday. 4 days for a diagnostic is unacceptable. I called a good friend of mine who's a manager at another Priority to help me out. While speaking to my friend, he convinced me to look into getting a different vehicle as opposed to getting mine fixed. I told him what I wanted and found 2 at none other than the Priority Chevy store. He suggested I go test drive it to make sure it's what I wanted and he would bring it to his store so I could purchase it. When I arrived at the Chevy store there were 4 sales people outside doing nothing. It was over 10 minutes before I was finally greeted. I told the sales consultant what two cars I wanted to see and I would be purchasing one of them at my friends Priority location. His attitude immediately changed. The first vehicle could conveniently not be found so I test drove the other one. By the time I was done test driving it was close to 8:00pm. I told my friend I wanted it and he ensured me he would have the vehicle ready for me to pick up tomorrow. I just got a call from him at 9:00 saying the store won't release the vehicle because they have been working a deal on it for 2 weeks, they received a deposit on it at 8:00, but if it becomes available again they'll call. Who would let someone drive a vehicle if you have a pending deal already in place? That's just not smart business. So I rode by just to see if the vehicle is there and guess what, it's in the exact same spot I left it. I'm pretty much over Priority at this point. More
If I could give them zero stars I would Every time I have any work done there, it needs to go back in for them to finish a job they said was complete. An example would be when they replaced Every time I have any work done there, it needs to go back in for them to finish a job they said was complete. An example would be when they replaced my rear liftgate glass on my Tahoe. They did not reattach the hydraulic jacks that lift the glass. Another would be the defrost wiring that they said was soldered back on. Well, this repair lasted until the next day after picking it up. Another time While trying to drop off for an oil change they asked me to wait to check in because my advisor was not around. I told them ten people are standing around and nobody can check me in?. Miraculously one of them all of a sudden was able to do it. In the 15 minutes, it took for this "advisor" to check me in my "advisor" had not returned. I sure am glad I did not wait. I have purchased two new vehicles there and definitely will not again. Your time and attention to detail in maintenance is certainly not a priority. It's a disappointing experience at best every time I have to go in there. I have an Acura purchased from Hall Acura and let me tell you the difference in service is incredible. If you are ever caught between the two for a purchase and service contract, choose Hall for sure. At Hall, they seem actually to consider you a priority. More
Service scam I took my Chevrolet Silverado in for warranty issues on the steering, they had to order the parts but then tried to tell me that a 23000 mile vehicle I took my Chevrolet Silverado in for warranty issues on the steering, they had to order the parts but then tried to tell me that a 23000 mile vehicle that is still under warranty needed the fuel injection system cleaned of course they said the warranty doesn't cover this,I then asked if the warranty which is bumper to bumper for 3 years and 36000 miles doesn't cover it can you tell me why since the fuel system is within the bumper to bumper, they then said we are just doing this service as a preventive measure at a cost of $129.95 I think it's more of a way to charge for items not needed. In Poplar Mechanics they list fuel injection cleaning as 1 of the 5 scams repair shops try to sell, also I purchased a new Corvette there this past September but after this scam I don't believe I will be buying any vehicles from a Priority dealership again. It's like they say buyer beware and also I tried on 5 different occasions to reach anyone in management but no one answered their phone nor returned my calls. Dealership wrecked my car PRIORITY CHEVROLET CHESAPEAKE STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!! DO NOT EXPECT CUSTOMER SERVICE! WOULD GIVE LESS THAN 1 STAR IF IT WAS POSSIBLE! PRIORITY CHEVROLET CHESAPEAKE STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!! DO NOT EXPECT CUSTOMER SERVICE! WOULD GIVE LESS THAN 1 STAR IF IT WAS POSSIBLE! Buying was a breeze, my sales person MATT HOUSE was awesome, but after that everything WAS down hill. THEY WRECKED my NEW 2016 car while in the shop to get the upholstery package that I was upsold at purchase and some minor things taken care of. I have been ignored concerning this incident and NEVER once did any management call until I complained and complained. their insurance company called to find out where I wanted the check sent, I told them I didn't want a check, I was then told that the dealership had sent it to me, have yet to receive it as of this posting. Then they repaired my vehicle without my authorization, preventing me from taking the vehicle for an unbiased estimate and to get an estimate for diminished value (which by law, I am entitled to). Just spoke to Bill Schneider the GM who started off extremely rude considering I am a client that had my vehicle wrecked by one of their employees. When I told him there was a diminished value he said I had to deal with their insurance company, when I stated I HAD NOT authorized repairs he stated to me that they are a major dealership and do millions in business and they have documentation I authorized it, NOT TRUE. No one at this dealership wants to handle this in a professional business like manner. I have tried to resolve this is a reasonable and equitable manner for both myself and the dealership. They expect me to accept the repaired vehicle back with no regards to the value since it was wrecked. More

In May 2016 I started seeing white smoke coming from the exhaust pipe and I was losing coolant at the radiator coolant reservoir. I took my truck to our service associate at Priority Chevrolet who handles our other two cars. The truck was taken back to the truck repair shop for diagnosis I was told all the fuel injectors all 8 were bad. I had them repair it the cost was $7,419.46 I asked what the warranty was and he said 12 months or 12,000 miles. I got the truck back on May the 6th 2016. # Item number 1 priority repair The truck ran fine until December 21st 2016 when it started it sounded like it hit something when it turned over. We drove it to Tractor Supply in Suffolk Virginia on the way home white smoke started coming from the tail pipe and by the time we got home it was white and blue smoke. I went to start the truck the next day it sounded like the engine hit something and would not turn over at all. This was seven months and 3234 miles since the repair # Item number 2 I called to tow it back to Priority Chevrolet because it was doing what it was doing when the fuel injectors were bad before. The truck was sent back to the truck shop for repair called me back and said the technician said there was water in the oil and the block was cracked and needed to have a new engine. I asked if it was bore scoped to show the cylinders that were cracked. He said no, I know for sure the block was cracked because there was water in the oil (milk shake).( milkshake-- what happens when antifreeze gets into the oil of your car or truck. ... in the mechanic world they call this a milkshake).I had to tell the technician what to do to check the engine and he wrote it on the service order. They did not want to check it because the failure could have been from the work they had done in May of 2016 they charged $250 to tell me the engine was shot and the block was cracked. # Item number 2B # Item number 3 There is a GM engine bulletin that addresses engine coolant leakage with no external leaks which indicates coolant entering in the cylinder due to dirty or damaged seal between the fuel injectors and the sleeves # Item number 3 I told them to put the parts they took off in the front floor on the passenger side of the truck and I would have it towed to another repair shop to verify their findings. On the 23rd of December 2016 I had it towed to West Service Center in Chesapeake Virginia 904 Cavalier Boulevard 487-4420. West does the inspections on my truck and trailers. I explained that I needed them to verify what Priority Chevrolet had stated, that the problem was not because of the fuel injectors and the sleeves that they had replaced, it was because the engine block was cracked or the Piston was cracked and needed a new engine. West service center checked to verify the problems with the engine and found the number 8 cylinder had water and oil in it and the engine oil had water in it with no metal as stated on Priorities report. They could not get the bore scope in the glow plug hole and suggested the removal of the Left Bank cylinder head to check for a cracked block, with an approximate time of 29 hours at the rate of $116 per hour. This would be the same time required to replace the engine at the same labor cost. I decided to go ahead and replace the engine because of the water in the oil that could cause the bearings to wash out and damage to rod and main bearings. # Item number 4 The replacement engine came from Jasper Engines it was a complete running engine. The old engine went back to Jasper Engines and I paid $175 for an engine failure analysis report. Jasper's failure analysis indicated due to the fuel injector cups leaking causing water in the oil (milkshake) this caused wear on the rod and main bearings. The block was not cracked. # Item number 5 Now I am out $25,000.00 in repairs that should have been covered under warranty. Needless to say I am very unhappy with Priority service department. More
