Unethical, unprofessional,and deceptive sales practices I had previously inquired online an obtained the BEST PRICE from Kayla Bunch on a specific car. This price was given to me on Feb 26 and was using the I had previously inquired online an obtained the BEST PRICE from Kayla Bunch on a specific car. This price was given to me on Feb 26 and was using the rebate that was still available in March. I went to this dealership on March 3rd 2018 and talked with Rick In about the car I inquired online about. Rick In asked what I was paying on my lease that I have now and I told him $420.00. He asked if I could do $500.00 a month. I stated that I wasn't really wanting to pay that much but I could if he meet specific conditions. He told me he was sure he could do it even before running my credit. I let him know before hand I had less than perfect credit but he said no problem. After running my credit he said he could still do it with my terms but at a much higher monthly payment. I did not agree and left. He never did give me his contact information. (Deceptive) Due to not having any follow up information for Rick and none being available on the website to contact him directly I reached back out to Kayla in an email March 6th expressing my interest in the car and asked if she could work with Rick or pass the information along to see if we could come to a better agreement on the car. After no follow up I emailed David Handley a copy just in case she was out of the office. I had their contact information from the internet inquiry I did. I did not hear from him. I finally wrote to the GM Todd Lochner from the website and expressed my frustration over no follow up by 3 sales mangers mentioned above. I received and email within the hour from David Handley saying he and Kayla had been out of the office. (Unprofessional) I asked David to send me the best deal purchase order so I could see if I could get the financing myself. What he sent over did not include the previous quoted best price. When I told him that he said the price I had been giving was on another car. That car he was referring to list online for about 2000 less than the price I was quoted. (Unethical) Chris Thompson got involved at this point and stated that all of this confusion was their fault in communication. Stated he could only offer an apology an to send me a corrected purchase order. I stated I wanted him to send me the proposal that Rick In had before running my credit and a proposal for after running my credit so I could see the difference between what he said and what was reality from Saturday March 3rd. He didn't like that but said ok. Instead he ran my credit through 7 more banks and then said sorry cant help. We had already discussed NOT running my credit again. (Unethical,Unprofessional,Deceptive in the very least) I do have emails for documentation and validation if necessary. This was my first time looking for a new Toyota and this experience has ruined the brand for me. I will be sending a copy to Toyota as well. More

Blown away Recently bought a creampuff 2013 Tacoma Sport 4x4 with 105,000 miles on it. Wanted a price quote on getting the driveshafts greased. Every other flu Recently bought a creampuff 2013 Tacoma Sport 4x4 with 105,000 miles on it. Wanted a price quote on getting the driveshafts greased. Every other fluid on the truck is brand new. I was standing in the service center waiting for an opening to approach one of the advisors. A gentleman walked out of a nearby office and asked if I'd been helped. I said not yet and he asked what he could help me with . I told him I was just looking to get the grease fittings topped off and wondered what something like that might cost. He said "Hang on..." He disappeared around the corner and about out a minute later walked up with a grease gun. "Where are you parked?" After I picked my jaw up off the floor I pointed out front. He complimented the condition of the truck and crawled under it. I crawled under the other side, Again, he mention how unbelievably clean it was. We chit-chatted about motorcycles and five minutes later he was done. As we crawled out I asked him "How much?". He said "No charge, just remember us if you need anything." I said "Ok, what's your name?" "I'm Jim, the Service Manager." I have been a Toyota guy since 1985 (Van). I have gone 33 consecutive years with at least one Toyota in my driveway (right now I have three). I have five grown kids - four of them drive Toyotas (one of them is a teacher in Kenya and drives a Toyota Hilux). My two best friends were Ford and Chevy truck guys. One now drives a Tacoma, the other, a Tundra. They have all watched how boringly reliable my life has been as a Toyota owner. Service departments have never been a bragging point with me. I've never had a problem with one but they've always come across as busy but doing the best they can. I give 5 stars on the surveys but never elaborate about anything extraordinary. Jim Jablonski single handedly changed that. I eat lunch with four different groups of guys throughout the week (retired, tough life). I will tell this story many times over among my friends and family. To a guy like Jim it was probably "Not a big deal, just doing my job". I disagree. He could have easily handed me off to one of his busy advisors and there is literally no telling how that would have played out. I guarantee you not one of those guys would have grabbed a grease gun, walked out past everybody sitting in that waiting room, crawled under my truck and sent me on my way five minutes later - no charge.
