Garwyne Jones was very patient with me which I really appreciated. I was nervous about buying a new car and asked a lot of questions. I was not planning to buy a car this week but saw one that I really appreciated. I was nervous about buying a new car and asked a lot of questions. I was not planning to buy a car this week but saw one that I really liked and the next thing I know there I was. I do think the process could have gone a little faster though. We were there for a long time. I would recommend Garwyne to be your car sales person! More

Our experience with Poh (and others) at Principle Toyota was excellent. They agreed to what I considered a fair offer very quickly, and didn't play the back-and-forth game so many other dealers do. The lo was excellent. They agreed to what I considered a fair offer very quickly, and didn't play the back-and-forth game so many other dealers do. The low/no pressure approach they take is also refreshing. We love our new vehicle, and the buying experience we had. More
We dropped by Principle to explore purchasing one vehicle and left having purchased two...and I am rarely an impulse buyer. The experience was hands down the best I have ever had with a car dealer. My wife and I still tell stories of an attempt to purchase our first new car in the suburbs of Boston in 1986. Well, we now have a story that surpasses our fiasco from more than 30 years ago. We purchase our first new car in the suburbs of Boston in 1986. Well, we now have a story that surpasses our fiasco from more than 30 years ago. We purchased a Tacoma at Principle Toyota yesterday, and it was easily the most stressful major purchase we have ever made- and we've bought at least 5 houses and vehicles too numerous to mention. First of all, I should say that we have been residents of Memphis for only a couple weeks, having relocated from Vermont, as our daughter married a local Memphis boy this Summer. Unfortunately, the trip back and forth to Memphis from Vermont proved to be too much for my 2012 Tacoma, and it finally gave up the ghost at another nearby dealership. Frankly I expected that my search for a new Tacoma would take me about 3 hours- boy was I wrong! After negotiating with another local dealership without luck, I decided to go to Principle Toyota . I was met by a polite young man who was most helpful at first. I found the Tacoma of my dreams- the right color, the right engine size, the right body style, the exact right price- but alas, the vehicle had sign on it that said "not for sale- fleet vehicle".He told me to disregard the sign - he could get me in that Tacoma. I was ecstatic. Lo and behold, 15 minutes later he returned to his desk to tell me that this vehicle was unavailable, but he had a used vehicle that I may be interested in... (isn't that "Bait and switch"?) So at this point I'm desperate: I have no vehicle except for a rental car that I have to return the next day, and I'm looking at probably the last Tacoma on the lot, and I say "I'll take it". My wife completes the online finance form at home, and I drive the hour round-trip to bring her back to sign all the necessary documents...where we wait for almost two more hours. They tell me "don't worry about the rental car- we'll take care of everything ", so I call the rental agency to arrange for an alternate drop-off closer to the dealership, and we eventually sign all the paperwork. (on a positive note, the finance guy who got thrown into this at the last minute did a really great job). So, they give us the temporary tag and tell us to give it to our salesman and he'll get us on the road ASAP. We go outside to find our salesman, and he says "I'm so sorry- your car hasn't been detailed yet and we're short staffed- we'll deliver it to you first thing tomorrow morning . I'll even drive your rental to the Agency for you tomorrow" So the next day I'm waiting at our house expecting a call at 9:30-10:00 - you know, first thing in the morning. It gets to be 11:00, and I have to have the rental back by noon, so I end up driving the car to the rental agency myself and walking back to my house 4 miles away. On my way back home I get a call from the salesman at 11:42 to tell me he's on the way (26 minutes away). I get another call at 1:25 to tell me that he's now on the way, as he's been busy. This is when I finally lose it: I raise my voice, and ask to speak to the manager. The manager assures me that the car will be delivered within the half hour, and it is...with a quarter of a tank of gas. Maybe I'm too picky, but I expect that if you spend 33 grand on a truck it's gonna be delivered with a tank of gas. Maybe I expect too much of people these days... More
